Dr. Scholl's Shoes womens Brilliance Wide Calf Riding Boot

I was a little worried these shoes would look cheap and not fit well. True to size, so comfortable, you can wear them all day and walk around for an extended about of time with ease. I have very wide calves, and these fit without making my calf look huge.

I wear a 7.5, but I had to get this in an 8 as my feet are short but wide and this shoe has a narrow shape. This worked out well as my foot is snug but not constricted, and the wide calf fits my 17-inch calves perfectly. Not much wiggle room and no stretch in his area, so if you have calves that are 17.5in or larger, I'd pass on this shoe. Find something with garter material. I know if I wear thick, tall boot socks these will be too snug, so stockings or leggings with crew socks will have to do for these. The ankles are a little baggy but that's expected; if you're looking for a clean slim line that makes your legs look long and sleek, this isn't going to be perfect, but it works for me. The heel is the perfect height as it gives my legs a great silhouette without ax excessively high heel. Over all it's exactly what I'm looking for.

It fit my 17 inch calves barely but the fabric looked weird. it made it look like my calves and my foot was separate from each other texture wise. like there was extra room near my ankle where it was gaping/sagging. i returned it.

I read the reviews & sized up to an 11. For reference I usually need a 10 or 10.5 W. My calves measure 17" approximately. These boots fit both my feet & calves. I added a 3/4 insole for added arch & heel comfort. That kept my heel stabilized & prevented my foot sliding forward which they always do in a heeled boot. Very comfortable to walk in. Boots look nice, not cheap. I recommend sizing up a half or full size.

One of my favorite boots, so comfortable and look great over jeans. They last forever. Had my 1st pair years ago and I mean years ago lol. Wore them to help our daughter and her fiancee in their yard cutting trees etc. Scuffed them up so now I use them outside to work with.

We returned this item. The style and materials were nice. The sizing did not work. They were more narrow than what was needed. The zipper movement was fine. They seem sturdy. Not meant for warmth alone.

I struggle to find knee high boots that fit my calves. These do zip up with my calf size, though I can’t wear pants with thicker material with them (leggings and skinny jeans only with thinner calf socks). The soles are very soft with a comfortable heel height and I have done a full day’s walking in them. I am normally a size 6.5 wide and sized up to a 7 with the reviews: I could honestly go to size 7.5 for some extra room and imagine these would still fit okay. They hold up okay in water but are not fully waterproof. My only complaint is that with my calf size the zipper sometimes bunches at my ankles and can rub the skin there, but this is fixed by just pulling them up. Overall I’m very happy to finally have a pair of sensible boots that fit and look cute :)
