The Sonoran Desert by Day and Night Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)

I bought this with some colored pencils for one of the prizes in a desert-themed scavenger hunt. It was the first prize selected and several others wanted one too. It’s amazing quality for the price.

I bought this for my 11 year old neighbor and she really liked it!

However, I don't dare use my markers because the pages are printed on both sides. This is the only negative I have for it though. The designs are wonderful h rich in detail. Each page has an informational segment teaching about the plants & animals in the pictures. The designs may be too intricate for small children, but if one just reads the info to them & let them go with their crayons, they're sure to learn! Fun always makes learning easier!

Illustrations are beautiful and intricate perfect for an older child or even an adult to color. Descriptions of the animals and habitats of each page are about a paragraph in length and are a perfect compliment to unit studies and themes for our homeschool. Highly recommend all Dover coloring books for added educational and art supplement.

I bought this book, intending to use it for embroidery patterns. Alas, it is far too complicated for that - it is definitely a coloring book, and too complicated for my 4 year old grandaughter to color in. It's fine as an adult coloring book, though, with lots of beautiful and detailed pictures to color.

We gave this as a gift and the feedback was that this coloring book was a lot of fun. The book showed lots of typical desert plants and animals and you could use your own ideas on how they should be colored. The person that we gave the book to has an eye for art so when they say this coloring book is fun, I will take her word that it is fun.

Just visited the Sonoran desert a few weeks ago, so I was tickled to see this book. I have purchased many Dove Nature coloring books and highly recommend them. the paper is good quality and doesn't bleed or ghost unless you use a super wet marker. The pages are almost identical to the backgrounds we visited. Who doesn't love a saguaro!? Enjoy!

I bought this coloring book for my grandson who loves reading and learning about the Sonoran Desert. The artwork is very detailed. Like many reviewers have mentioned, this is not a good choice for a coloring book for young readers. I will be returning it.

This wasn't really what I expected. I'd hoped for more scenery type pictures, lots of cacti etc. There's some, but it's mostly animals. It's a very thin book to, not many pages. Not a terrible book, but not one I love either.

Los gráficos son sencillos tirando a ser solo siluetas delineadas, pero para principiantes esta más que bien.

Wonderful story.

Es un libro muy lindo, los dibujos son detallados y representan muy bien el desierto. Lo recomiendo para niños de mas de 7 años.
