This is a very belated review. I love this lamp and in fact we have two here, one for either side of the bed. It is bright enough to read by without totally disturbing someone else next to you. It clamps onto the bed post and then can twist and retwist however you need it at the moment. The clamp stays clamped, and a nice touch is padding so the metal clamp does not go directly on the wood. The settings for both brightness and "warmth" work as promised. Yay, a simple product that comes through as advertised.I want to say I make these comments as someone who is on the fussy side about bedside lighting. Yeah, not easy to please.Although the lamp itself appears to be metal (or composite or something solid), it uses the same sort of plastic switch to change the light setting. I have seen this switch or its cousin on other types of lighting products. A few months ago, I contacted the company because one or more of the buttons had "decayed." It was beyond what Amazon would respond to, and they referred me to the manufacturer. I got through with hardly any waiting, had short "no-blame," no "did you try this" customer service bs. Just a quick response, ok, we'll send a replacement, no need to return this one. I got it and the new one has been fine.I wanted to mention the customer service as well as the product because when a presumably small company can be so responsive, it shows a commitment to the customer and to their own success. I have been thinking about a third location for one of these lamps. Strongly recommended.

The light itself is good, it's enough light for my intended use. The clamp is pretty solid too, holds tightly to what I've got it attached to. What sucks is the stem, the "flexible" part of this lamp... It simply won't hold position and ends up slipping out of position when it finally sticks. It takes a good amount of fiddling with it to get it to stay where it needs to be, and then slips after it warms up a bit. It's a good lamp, I like the light features with the brightness adjustments, but it won't stay put where I need/want it to be. I feel I got what I paid for, but keep in mind that it's a cheap ass Chinese POS... Be warned

Ok, this light is awesome. Now I've only used it for 2 hrs thus far, but I'm really impressed. Time will tell how long it will last, but this lamp appears to be great quality.I wanted this light to relieve me from eye strain while working on a computer where my keyboard area was dark. Eyes would hurt at the end of the day, but just after using this light for 2 hrs, I can tell the difference.I have it clipped on the side of my monitor and positioned the light to run diagonally across my monitors. Works great and is barely noticeable. I have it plugged into my comp USB port for power. You can adjust brightness AND color of light. Really great features.I highly recommend

Compared to other 8W lamps, this lamp definitely seems a bit dim.I would say that this is because the light is spread out over a large area and also because the plastic diffuser over the LED strip dims the light too much.If you remove the diffuser, the lamp is noticeably brighter and probably matches expectations. However, I can only recommend doing this if you are powering it from an isolated supply (USB power bank) rather than mains power.The armature in the goose neck is not quite stiff enough to support such a long and heavy lamp at the end, so it sags quite a bit and takes a few attempts to adjust it to the desired angle.The lamp does not get noticeably hot during long (~2 hour) operation, but the manual does proscribe against running for 24 hours continuously.Overall, it has a good feature set and value, but falls just a bit short of an ideal product.

Great light. Gave up waiting for white to come available, I have a white one already. The charger plug is white (for a black light and cord). Figure it must be left over from their white lamp. Very difficult to fit cord plug in but light does seem to function well. Thanks to the reviews, I was aware how short the cord is. Cord and plug only negatives.

Very adjustable, the clip is quite strong, and I like the control over the brightness and the light’s color temperature. My primary complaint is that it just doesn’t get that bright. This would be quite alright as an evening reading light, but I purchased it to serve as a task light for my drawing desk. I have to position the light quite close to the paper’s surface to get a satisfactory level of brightness, and I need to move it around if I’m working on a larger surface like newsprint.

I was looking are art lights but the ones I liked were rather expensive. This reading lap appears to do the trick for $20 bucks. It clamped well and created a good amount of light. The picture doesn't do it justice.I did remove a star as the power cord is super short and required a USB extension to get it to where it needed to be. I am sure there is better way to make that connection.Overall, I am happy. I just hope it lasts...

I use two of these lights to brighten up my face and my green screen/surroundings during my Zoom class sessions and videos for teaching. The clamping system is sturdy and the lighting color/brightness is adjustable. If you notice your video has a grainy quality, low lighting is the culprit! With the flexible arm, you can clamp it to your desk and bend it to your will to place the lighting where you need it.
