Awesome Atmos Speakers At An Awesome Price!
I first purchased refurbished Sony SS-CSE Atmos speakers for half of what these Klipsch cost from another seller on Amazon. They arrived in their original packaging and were in “Like New” condition. They sounded pretty good. However, both speakers died after about a week which is not normal. Luckily the seller granted me a refund. I then bought these Klipsch Atmos speakers and I must say they sound better than the Sony’s. These have a horn tweeter and the Sony’s only had a single driver with no tweeter. I can definitely hear the difference having the horn tweeter. These speakers sound more dynamic. Currently, I have placed them on my front towers and they sound really good. I think eventually I will mount them on the front wall near the ceiling as I hear that is a better place to get the full Atmos effect. They sound great with 4K discs that have an Atmos soundtrack. However, don’t expect miracles when playing standard non Atmos content. There is not much sound that comes out of the speakers. But overall, I bought these specifically for playing 4K discs with Dolby Atmos soundtracks. So, they are serving their purpose.

Great Sound, Great Value
I'll start with the fact that I'm a fan of Klipsch. My current speaker system is an all Klipsch 5.1 system with 2 fronts, a center channel, 2 surrounds, and a subwoofer. I just moved and had to leave behind my built-in Klipsch front, "height" speakers. So I went from a 7.1 system (the max that my receiver supports) down to 5.1.When I saw these speakers go on special it was my lucky day! I ordered them right away to complete my 7.1 system again. I'm very pleased with the sound of these speakers and they really complete the sound of my system. I like how convenient it is to just be able to set them on top of my Klipsch towers! They reflect nicely off my my ceiling and give me that "height" that I was missing. They can be wall mounted and at some point I will experiment with putting them up high on the front wall. They will then be angled down and pointing directly to my listening area. I can then evaluate the sound and choose what is best. I should add, I'm going to set up two step ladders on either side of my system, then put a board across those, and then place the speakers on the board. Then I can move them around a bit while evaluating the sound before I decide weather to mount them on the wall or not.A little bit about what I found out in researching these R-41SA's before I ordered:* They came out in 2018 and at some point were "replaced" with the R-40SA's.* The spec's on the R-40SA's are almost identical to these R-41SA's.* The newer 40's do have a different front design that increases the dispersion from the tweeter* The newer 40's also have a stiffer material for the woofer* It appears that Klipsch is closing out the R-41SA'sI think that they were a great speaker in 2018 when they first came out and they fit in perfectly with my system. I don't see the changes made to create the R-40SA's to be that earth shattering that I wanted to go with the "latest and greatest". I like the value of these R-41SA's and the sound. Very pleased.

Good atmos up-firing front speakers. But limited mounting options
These sound fine and come with stick-on rubber feet. That works fine for my front Atmos up-firing speaker channels. I put on the feet so they could sit atop the front speakers. But I wanted to use a 2nd pair as rear overhead surrounds. Unfortunately if I wanted to attach them with the proper hardware, because they don't provide the fix-points, I would have had to have drilled into them and attached my own hardware. They could be selling 2X or more speakers if only they'd provided an anchor point bracket. You have to read very carefully ALL of their documentation to find the one paragraph blurb where they tell you that they aren't equipped to be attached to the ceiling. Not so cool, since I've already enjoyed having speakers attached to my ceiling for several decades. The reconditioned price was a good value.

Impressive
We had been running a VSX LX-105 as a 5.2.2 setup with a set of Andrew Jones Atmos speakers. Klipsch came out with updated speakers at an updated price and I found the previous year’s speakers on sale all over Amazon. We added a few at a time and after getting the first ones and being impressed with the quality and sound, we eventually got enough Klipsch Reference series to fit out our new LX-505 7.2.2 setup. We got two R-120SW subwoofers, a pair of RB-61 II fronts, a pair of R-40SA Atmos, a RC-62 II center and RIC-65 ceiling surrounds. All of them are heavy, quality speakers putting out impressive highs, mids and lows. Used the Dirac Live sound setup that came with the LX-505 and the resulting sound stage is perfect. Could not fault this setup in any way. Sooo glad we upgraded to the 505, Dirac and Klipsch.

Klipsch Perfection!
I'm upgrading my home audio system. 41 years ago, I purchased a pair of Klipsch Hersey II speakers. They've never failed me and always sound incredible. I decided to add these RM41SA as rear surround and installed them on articulating mounts near the ceiling. I ran speaker wire through a wire loom for a clean look. Additionally, I added a homemade subwoofer center speaker for a true 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos experience. My amplifier has separate volume control for each speaker set, giving me a nearly perfect sound balance. Klipsch is the high standard that all speakers should reach for!
