Star Wars: Jedi Trilogy Boxed Set (Star Wars: Jedi Academy Trilogy)

I originally had the original set from early 90s and lost them. I rebought and still to this day love the story and can always reread.

There's a lot of hate for Kevin J Anderson that I don't particularly understand. I don't find his writing to be any better or worse than Zahn's. The notable quality that I dislike about Anderson is that his books are inherently second rate. His superweapon is second rate, his main villain is second rate, and even his worldbuilding is second rate. Much like Zahn, he fails to convey the feeling of a huge galaxy full of teeming life. The premise of the Jedi Academy trilogy has a lot to offer, but the way Anderson actually delivers is shallow. The characters that Anderson writes are very one-dimensional, and his main plotline with Kyp Duron is absolutely ridiculous and unfathomable. The Sun Crusher was a mistake.I extremely hated Moruth Doole and his skeleton bodyguard. It's far too cartoony and I can't take it seriously.Honestly, I'd prefer at this point to leave Luke's founding of the Jedi Academy to my imagination rather than accept these books as my headcanon.

Fantastic book series in a really great box set. I was a bit hesitant at first when I saw this product but I was really happy at the quality of the book and box set itself. They're brand new and didn't even come with the LEGENDS brand in it. I'm super happy about that

I am half way through this set of books and am enjoying them very much. Exciting and fast paced page turners. I had some reservations about reading this series due to some of the bad reviews but I'm glad I didn't listen to the naysayers. OK, there is one scene were Luke is using the force with the Solo twins that was ridiculous, but other than that unfortunate scene the rest of the books have been very entertaining.

IF Disney had not made ALL of the existing EU irrelevant this book would have made perfect sense in the scope of the EU however, it never happened and it has no canon to Star Wars AT ALL...so all it is is a story that has nothing to do with Star Wars going forward..so sad.If you see LEGENDS on any Star Wars book it NEVER happened in the Star Wars EU.....

The box set art is awe and read the three in my late tens so I rate it 5 cause the stories were good and it was a good start into a much larger world but Disney took that larger world an made it short again but it will be a larger world in the next few years again

I've been a big fan of the star wars movies for quite some time, I really enjoy the novels since they go more in depth on different groups from the star wars saga. Great books, great prices, and all 3 titles were in excellent condition!

Great trilogy, the chapters just seem to fly by, highly recommend this bundle and came in great time.

Kevin Anderson, very much like Timothy Zahn, has managed to create another gripping, intriguing and most importantly INTERESTING Episode, or rather episodes of the Star Wars Saga. The writing style is much beyond any of the feeble and shallow movie scripts, giving insight into each main characters' delelopment and leading to several peaks before a thrilling culmination at the end of the trilogy. I wish Lawrence Kasdan, George Lucas and far and foremost J.J. Abrams (let's skip Johnson altogether, and pretend HE never happened) only had half of Anderson's creativity and craft which is badly needed to make Star Wars a worthy story. This is absolutely worth the time and a fascinating read. We see our beloved heroes struggle, battle (also with themselves) and reach new highs and lows. The villains are sophisticated and full of surprises which gives rise to extraordinary turns of events. Along with Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy, this trilogy certainly stands out.

Consigliato a tutti i fan di star wars (soprattutto del vecchio expanded universe) che abbiano un po di dimestichezza con la lingua inglese. Spedizione arrivata con un giorno di anticipo
