BISSELL 3554 Lift-Off Upright Vacuum with Detachable Canister Vacuum

I still have this vacuum after almost 13 years after I bought it. This vacuum still works so well that I use it whenever possible. It works on carpet, rugs, concrete floors, wood floors, and the detach function is priceless. I've used it to clean 5 different apartments for the return of the security deposit...and I've never lost a deposit. From the floor, to the baseboards and the ever dreaded mini blinds....this vacuum has done everything I could ask and then some. If I can still find one when mine breaks...(and it can't be repaired) I hope I will be able to find another one gently used. I hope I get another 10 years out of it.

Have used bagless vacuums for years...because for whatever reason, it’s not easy to find bagged vacuums anymore.. I hate bagless vacuums. They get so dirty. Dust flies everywhere when emptying the container. They are cheap quality. I’ve had them all. Hoover, Bissel, even Dyson. They would all lose suction and needed parts repaired early on. (Although Dyson does have AMAZING customer service.) This vacuum feels like a truck could run it over and it would survive. You can feel it’s power which is substantial compared to other vacuum cleaners. It’s a bit noisier but I will gladly take it for a vacuum I don’t have to stress over. Long cord. It has a light on it..I guess so I can vacuum in the dark. Ha It glides easily and I LOVE that the canister lifts off. It has come in handy so often. I can clean my car with it..I clean my ceiling fans. It’s wonderful. I searched for a long time to find a vacuum that has a bag and a detachable canister. Not easy to find. This vacuum comes with a HEPA filtered bag but can use regular bags as well. I have read reviews that a drawback to this vacuum is the bags are hard to find and are expensive. I found it super easy. Barely an inconvenience. They sell them right here on Amazon and I bought a pack of 9 hepa filters for a good price. This is not a new model but it is new. The seller is very helpful as well. I had an issue with a clip not being attached on delivery. I couldn’t figure out how to place it. The seller put a note in box to contact him directly if there were any problems. That I did and he was so helpful and took the time to walk me thru it. Sent pictures thru texts and everything. Have had it for awhile now and have not had a single problem with it.

I bought this vacuum about ten years ago and have never had a moments problem with it. I change the bags and clean the rotating brush of any string, hair or fuzz regularly. I had a salesman come to my door to show me his expensive $2600 vaccum and he had trouble proving his vaccum over mine. His was also 12 amp and made just as much noise. He had trouble finding any problem with my vacuum. He left without a sale. I feel I made a very good choice with this vacuum. It is a little noisy but for the price, quality and power its not a problem for me. Also, if you don't change the bags and clean off the rotating brush regulary any vacuum will stop working even the most expensive ones.

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I am so pleased with this vacuum that I had to let everyone know. It is very powerful and picks up all the cat hair in my house with ease. The cord is so long that I can vacuum my whole house and only have to unplug it and change electrical outlets once. An added bonus is that it converts into a portable vacuum that I use to clean out my car. It has certainly exceeded my expectations, and I am a very happy customer.

I liked my first cannister/upright Bissel vacuum so much that I purchased a second one. This is the best vacuum, for the home, on the market. Believe me, I have tried them all. The bags are expensive but the vacuum is so good that I tolerate the price of the bags, plus the cost of the vacuum is very inexpensive considering the quality. A very nice feature is the long cord. You can plug it in and vacuum several rooms without having to unplug, then plug in again. It is a quiet vacuum, has wonderful suction, snaps apart easily for the cannister so you can vacuum the stairs, and is very durable. My older one is about ten years old and just as good as the day I got it. My second one is one year old and I am sure it will last many years.

I think your bissell upright lift-off vacuum is wonderful, I love the convinace of the lift-off part. It makes cleaning my car easy and cleaning my stairs just as easy. please dont stop making this type of vacuum. I cant believe someone else has'ent picked up on this lift-off Idea I think its great. keep up with the smart Ideas.
