Well-kept secret
Great deal!! This is saffron powder--the pollen from Spanish corcusses--not the usual pistils that you have to grind up. And the price is excellent for what you get. It's all I use any more since it tastes great and the packaging is pretty much perfect size for a cup of rice.I hate to write a great review of this stuff, lest it lead to more orders, greater demand, and therefore a higher price. But to be fair, it's a steal. Hopefully, they'll keep the price level.

TRY IT YOU'LL LOVE IT
It's hard to believe how few people use safrin. I give it as gifts and people love it. My family uses it in MANY of our favorite foods and some not so favorite ones. Just sorry it is so high - but gotta have it.

Love the perfect size container
Love the perfect size container. Used it to make Moroccan Chicken Tangine and it was just the right amount. The only thing was the container a bit tight and hard to open...otherwise good packing. Thanks

Great product.Tricky to open if you have hands like Sasquatch.
Used this for Saint Lucia buns. Provided flavor and lovely color. Only down side. I have huge hands and opening the containers was a challenge. Ended up spilling contents of one the little jars all over the floor. Should have left opening individual containers to the ladies.

Convenient and fresh
Really enjoy cooking Spanish rice, Paella and Basmati yellow rice with these convenient saffron powder capsules. Just be careful when removing the tops, because if you jolt, the powder will spill. I find that if you want a vibrant orange/red color in more than a cup of rice, you’ll need to use 2 capsules. I use three capsules when making big batches of arroz con pollo.

REPEAT BUYER
It could be better but then it would cost 3 times more; in Italy saffron powder was the way Milanese could present a simple dish of good risotto that would not cost too much. It was cuisine for the lower class that took time to become aristocratic, like so many things like Gorgonzola and Parmigiano (not the fake imitations circulating in USA or Argentina). In the 1950s saffron, real saffron, not yellow powder, cost little...now at supermarkets because it is easily shop-lifted and the price is high you are told to ask for it at the cashier who has it in a safe. BTW: Parmigiano Reggiano then cost 50c a kilo (2 pounds++). It is impossible to buy real saffron at decent prices in USA...just read reviews...

Tasty
I bought these to try to copy a rice dish from a restaurant and no mine didn't taste as wonderful as the restaurants but it was real good and I will be making it often. I was thankful for the tip that each little bottle was just right to cook with one cup rice.

Best Saffron for the Price
This product is reasonably priced, and I love the way it is packaged. Since Saffron is so expensive the individual capsules make it easier versus a pour spout and/or shaker which can result in an "overpour" of this pricey spice. The packaaging also make its easier than buying a whole saffron sprig. This saffron has a mild but rich flavor.
