OspreyPacks Bigkit Duffel Bag

This pack is legit - it has everything I want in a gear bag. I snowboard, and in my old age have begun booting up in the lodge. I've had issues with boot lockers and other similar bags, as I also want it to double as a duffel boot bag for air travel. It seemed all you could really get on the market were duffels, or backpacks. This is both. My only gripe is that a sling strap wasn't included, but I think this is pretty typical of Osprey or any similar brand. I just purchased one separately on amazon, which unfortunately doesn't match. Function over style, right?Keep in mind this is the large version of this bag - there is a smaller version. The large version will best work for my needs. It's huge - you can fit boots, outerwear, helmet, lunch. Excited to use it this season.

Fits every piece of our climbing gear, keeps it organized and still has room for snacks. Backpack straps could be more comfortable but all around a good bag.

This bag definitely met my desires for overland travel in Africa--as reviewers indicated, though it's design purpose is as a sport gear bag. Its relevant strengths are durability, light weight, and flexibilty of stowaway backpack straps. Big minus is that it's lockable only by securing soft zipper pulls together. One problem waa that baggage handlers twice pulled out the stowaway backpack straps, I guess thinking it'd be easier to toss around that way; maybe they should secure better, but they don't come out by accident.

We use this bag for frequent ski trips. We carry our kids ski boots and other random gear to the lodge with this. Has a great amount of space. We love that it fits into a small stuff sack for storage.

Perfect. We use these bags as luggage, and use packing cubes to keep our clothes from becoming a jumbled mess inside. The cubes pack in perfectly and we packed 6 weeks worth of clothes for camping. Smaller compartments are helpful (my daughter’s riding helmet was well protected). Options for carrying with just handles or as a backpack are great- just make sure you zip in your backpack straps if you fly to protect them.

Love Osprey. Highly recommend. This bag has enough room (when packed properly) for two for over a week. Only unusual feature is how the opening is on the bottom.
