Absorbent, inexpensive, environmentally friendly, no chemical additives, odor destroying!!
My local store stopped carrying this so I had to purchase here. Great. Even better, I no longer have to hoist if off the shelf, into a cart off the cart into my car, out of my car and into the house. It gets delivered to my front door and I drag it in and put it away without ever having to lift! My cats love it. A 2 cat house with one little box in the middle of the living room inside The Merry Cat Washroom that I bought on Amazon too. This pine is natural with no added chemicals (you know they absorb through their feet. One of my cats got poisoned because someone poured a liquid medication in her box!) It smells wonderfull even when the box is full of cat excrement and urine! It still tracks but I use mats in front of the opening to their washroom. I bought the mats on Amazon too, they are black with a crosshatch pattern that catches stuff and draws it through the hatch into the pocket. Open the pocket to simply empty, great invention! But I digress. I LOVE this pine litter for its naturalness, natural good scent, cleanness (yes, it does track as I said, but I know of NOT one single even TRACKLESS litter that is trackless!) It is super, super, absorbent and when it expands, it crumbles. It is NOT flushable and that is good too because I am sooooo tempted by the flushables (illegal in CA) to actually flush all of the litter. I lived with someone who did that and the flushable litter destroyed the sewer pipe access to the city sewer and backed up sewage into our house!!! It isn't good for the environment to just flush everything anyway. We daily scoop the poop and once or twice a week do a complete box change. I've had cats for 55 years! I have used clay litter, paper pellet litter, sparkly light litter, sparkly green scented litter, flushable litters, and more. This works best of all!!! It is worth the effort to mix it a little at a time into your current litter until you've changed over completely. I plan to keep using this as long as I can get it! Keep them in business for me!! Try it, YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Excellent !!!!!
I wish I knew about this products years ago. It's very easy to clean I have two cats and I changed the litter once a week at first you would not think the cats will get into this litter. But once they do their business the chunks of wood expand into sawdust literally. You're not wasting a single bit of litter and when you clean it you don't have that dust coming up of chemicals that you breathe in with the other litters that I've had used. It even helps the house not to smell because all you smell is wood. I highly recommend this litter it's a little pricey more than the regular kitty litters but so worth it.

Best Cat Litter Ever
My cat is almost 20 years old…so needless to say I’ve been through a number of litter & litter box choices. Ultimately, my long term choice is a plain litter box and this type of natural litter. The liquid waste gets soaked up and reduces the pellets into a sawdust kind of consistency. Dust is probably the wrong word to use, because I see very little airborne elements. The solid waste gets buried but is easy to find and scoop out. If maintained on a daily basis just a couple inches in the litter box will be fine for one cat. I line the litter box with a plastic bag and removing it weekly makes it a simple task. It doesn’t have any chemical smells which is nice, and maintained on an every other day basis you can’t smell much of anything. For the money, I believe this is an excellent value.

PLEASE READ THIS FOR YOU WILL NEED THIS KNOWLEDGE: MIRALAX is also needed for her
My cat wife is so constipated that I also have to give her a 1/2 teaspoon of MiraLAX mixed in with a little of wet cat food, and she is about 16 pounds which is why it has to be a 1/2 teaspoon of MiraLax that I buy at the grocery store under the instructions of my professional Veterinarian, and the rhythm is that on the day of a good bowel movement I pass up giving her the MiraLAX, and on the very next day I give a 1/2 of a teaspoon of MiraLAX each day until another good and again and on that day I pass up the treatment only to follow the next days with the MiraLAX until the day of a good bowel movement and again I pass up the MiraLAX only on that day; however, it does seem to work better of a 1/4 of MiraLAX in the morning and a 1/4 of MiraLAX in the evening, but that means that I need more wet cat food; therefore, I just do 1/2 of a teaspoon once with a little of wet cat food, and the rest of the time she gets this dry cat food mixed in with the dry cat food for Urinary problems that occurred with her constipation that also had her throwing up all the time as well, and when I stay on the rhythm of the MiraLAX all of the problems disappeared meaning that there is no constipation and no urinary problems and no throwing up all of the time. I wish that I was wealthy enough to create a dry cat food with MiraLAX mixed in and it makes me wonder why someone like Purina has not already done this because it would solve so many problems for cat lovers and their overall health where good bowel movements are definitely required.

works for a sifting box, but need a scooper with large holes
I wanted a non-clumping biodegradable litter that would work in my sifting litter box. To that end, it does. The used powdery litter falls through, or you just need to shake the sifter a bit to get the old stuff to filter down. The problem comes when you want to scoop out the poop. You will throw away good pellets unless you have a scooper with wide slots. Otherwise it seems to do a decent job of masking odor without perfume (the house just smells like fresh wood) and it's not as trackable as the previous stuff. I never notice it outside of the box, but even if they did track out the sawdust, it wouldn't be as maddening as stepping on a little hard rock. Best of all the cats don't seem to notice or care about the change from one type of litter to another. I thought the pellets might bug them, but they run right to the box when I change it and happily throw the wood around. Oh, and the pellets don't seem to fly out of the box like the old litter did, either. So aside from not wanting to waste perfectly good pellets, it's a winner!

Effective in maintaining a positive and clean litter box
The issue here is that Amazon failed to deliver and the order was cancelled and I received a refund which enabled me to use the money that was refunded to me to purchase a 40 pound bag of this product.
