I've not used this reel yet... That said once I'd unpacked it, it seems to be well balanced and very smooth ... It actually seems to be a 5000 size reel too. I have bought reels in the past ( not from Amazon I have to say ) and when delivered they a much smaller than advertised.. All in all very happy

Great value for money - caught my record in Devon, so its become my 'lucky' reel - out performs many 3x the price

The main reason I returned this reel was that I found the oddly shaped handle uncomfortable to use. The reasons I cited on the return were the poor quality spare spool which I would hesitate to use for fishing as it is made from cheap feeling flimsy plastic. Probably of no real consequence is the absence of any user guide with just an explosion diagram on a single sheet.

Fantastic wee real. Use it for shrimping for salmon. It has brought in two already last year. Hopefully plenty more

Light strong smooth and affordable. Use on my beachcaster for catching smooth hounds.

Great feel used 7 times caught 15 hard fighting carp to 10lb in 6 hour runs smooth the free spool is great just brought another one great really happy with it love the spare spool you get with it👍
