Excrement product for 300/-
Bought this 7" kadahi around 1-1/2 years back.Use Only After Seasoning.Once that done, marvellous product. I have never owned any cast iron vessels b4 , so am baking my opinion only on the convenienceone of usage of this one.Regular cooking is happening In this karahi.It retains fair amount of heat for atleast 15-20 mins of turning off the gas burner, thereafter the heat starts petering off gradually.So, while cooking remember to cook on low- medium heat, preferably.Goo d product at 300/-**but it is def not preseasoned , as mentioned in d description**

Good product, using it for almost 2 years
To avoid harmful chemicals release for nonstick pans And aluminium kadai , I switched to cast iron kadai.At first I didn't like it ,considering the extra effort you have to put to clean it . But it worth it.*Drawbacks: you can't cook sour foods and dishes that required tomatoes.I don't know if there is a way to cook dishes with tomatoes in this kadai.

Nice kadai in budget
First thing, this kadai is not preseasoned as mentioned in the description. But its not difficult to season it at home. Just wash it with regular dishwash, dry it and apply oil generously on the inner and outer surface. Many videos are available on youtube which can help with the seasoning. The kadai is small but very thick and heavy. Once heated, you can easily do the rest of the cooking at a low flame. If you value functionality more than asthetics you should definitely go for this kadai. Its cheaper than many branded ones and very nicely cooks the food as well.

Best buy
It's small, but that can be an advantage if cooking for one or two people... heavy but easy to handle... using it almost twice everyday for the last 4 months. Cleaning is a breeze. Do not use soap, always leave a coat of oil after it's cleaned and dried. In fact, I season it only once a week as it's used regularly. Dishes don't stick, don't burn, taste and flavor is retained, and above all healthy too. Remember to transfer food immediately after switching off the flame, as food may slightly become black. Can use for small quanity sabzi, tadka for dal, chutneys, etc. or bhurjis, even tried omlette/ aappam.

It's leaking
The kadhai is leaking oil after using it just 15-20 times (primarily for deep frying). very disappointed. Do not buy

Fantastic product
Have been using it for the last two years and it is the best thing that I have bought. I now want to purchase a frying pan but unfortunately don't think Siva makes one. Don't know which brand could be as good as the Siva kadhai that I purchased. Siva please make cast iron frying pans too.

healthy purchase
very good product . heavy pure cast iron material . for best use , use this for frying for 10-15 days .... then it will be permanently seasoned n need not daily oil seasoning . also u can keep cooked vegetable daals etc for 3-4 hours after cooking , iron taste not comes in food till that . .... keral appams can also be cooked using this karahi
