BISSELL BOLT ION Plus 2-in-1 Lightweight Cordless Vacuum with EdgeReach Technology, 18v, 13121

I love this!!!! I went through three other stick brooms like this before settling on this one in particular.We tried the other two Bissell Bolts and the Shark one but this one is a keeper!We have four Chihuahua dogs and even though they don't shed like other dogs (so we thought!) or have long hair they still shed....and much more than we realized!!! This little vacuum holds a charge for a long time and is so powerful! I love using it just to see how much it picks up. It is soooo addicting and a shocker every single time.It also works on low pile carpet and rugs with ease. Just make sure to take your time and either do long strips or go the parameter of the roomuntil you get to the middle without going backwards if you are in a hurry because when you pull it back towards you it likes to "skip". I vacuumeda room we rarely use that is gated off to the dogs and is newer carpet the other day and could NOT believe the dust and hair that this littlewonder found. Seriously was jaw dropping.It swivels (the entire stick portion) so that you can turn it to the side and lower it down to go under the couch, etc. This even goes under my bathroom vanity all the way to the wall! And the other plus is that it doesn't lift the head off the floor like the Shark did.Love the handheld vacuum to pull off and vacuum the couch cushions or get into tight spaces. I used it to vacuum off some faux ivy the other day because the Swiffer causes most of it to fly off into the air and this worked great.It comes with attachments to use with the handheld which I haven't used yet but will eventually I am sure.I have long hair and can't believe how much this vacuum picks up! It gets wound up around the removable roller brush so when it gets built up I takethe roller brush out (super easy) and use a box knife to cut through the hair and then pull it off. I only have to do that every few weeks. I am astonished as to how I lose so much hair and I'm not bald!!!!!! This is only the hair I don't throw in the garbage, I never throw my hair on the floor when it comes out (those hairs I notice anyways).I have recommended this to all of my family- none of which have dogs but have dust and dirt like the rest of us...LOVE IT

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE PETS! It does an ok job on wood floors but can't handle area rugs at all. I will pass it over the same spot repeatedly and it will still be covered in pet hair. The little wheels feel like they are going to snap off when you pull it back and forth. It reminds me of the little toy vacuums they sell at a toy store. The canister as others have mentioned is very small. I have two cats and two dogs so I know I'm not the norm but I have to empty it 2 or 3 times while cleaning. It's a pain to empty and dust and dirt get everywhere. So far the battery has lasted well. I have a 1400 sq foot home and can vacuum the whole house on one charge but that's pretty useless when it doesn't actually do what it's intended to do... vacuum.(The picture posted is after I vacuumed the same spot repeatedly. It's a low pile rug and the hair is right on top, not stuck in the fibers.)

I did countless hours of research on MANY different vacuums, 2-in-1's, and cordless handhelds. It was between this and the Dyson V6. I was going to splurge since I had an Amazon gift card. I hope my review helps your decision.My co-worker's Mom had the Dyson I was looking at, so she asked her what she thought. This was her review: "I don't like how you have to continually hold the power button down when using it. My hand starts to ache after a while. Also, sometimes I accidentally hit the power button as I'm emptying out the canister and every time I feel like I'm about to cut my finger off!"Well, that lead me into buying the Bissell Bolt. And boy am I glad that I did! Here are the things I ADORE about it:It's super lightGreat suction on both linoleum AND carpet (I have a lot of carpet in my apartment)It can vacuum up kitty liter from my carpet. Hallelujah!!It gets underneath things like furniture with just a simple click release on the back of the handleThe edge reach option is helpfulI can turn the roller brush off. When I'm vacuuming in the kitchen, nothing gets kicked out of the back of the vacuum.The brush attachment works very well on my couch (I have 2 cats, so you can imagine all the cat hair)Emptying the canister is easy and quickThe filter is washableIt's not super loud. My cats can tolerate it more than my Dyson uprightThe most satisfying thing: It was sooooooo much cheaper than the DysonI could go on and on, but you've got a decision to make! If you can afford this vacuum, get it. I'm so glad that I did.

Great little vacuum. It has good suction & battery life. Very light & maneuverable. The multiple handle position is a nice touch & is quite easy to use. This makes small vacuuming jobs so easy & 'borderline' enjoyable, that my wife will always reach for this instead of the broom.Two very small gripes that I have:- In my opinion the "EDGEREACH" technology really doesn't appear to do a whole lot to improve edge cleaning. When activated, it does present a couple of pretty blue lights though.- It can be slightly tedious to 'dock' the vacuum into the charging base (if you decide to use the base that is). If you desire, the unit can also be charged by plugging the cord directly into the vacuum too.

Suction is good in hand held unit. Good for small jobs

Bought the 18V Bolt ion professional in june 2015 and broke the handle in january 2016. Bissel will send me a replacement handle as part of the 5 year warranty! Great!
