Niman Ranch Uncured Sausage, Apple Gouda - No Added Sugar, 0.75 lb

These have a smoky flavor with rich Gouda cheese and a hint of sweetness from the apple. Absolutely delicious and so easy to prepare, since they’re already fully cooked.

They were good but not what I wanted. I just want plain sausage and can’t find them on line.

If you are a sausage aficionado, you will surely love these fully cooked apple, Gouda, pork sausages. I am not, but even I loved them. They are large sausages, but I thought that they would shrink, as I pan grilled them. To my surprise, they did not shrink one iota! Nor were they greasy after cooking.I placed one sausage in a pretzel bun with mustard and ate it. It was delicious. Then, I sliced the remaining sausage into rounds and ate that as well! Though I did not taste apples or Gouda cheese as individual, singular flavors in the sausage, they did combine nicely with the pork to give it a full bodied, delicious and savory flavor. These are definitely high quality pork sausages.

I really like the sopresseta by Niman Ranch (rarely available) and these were on sale so I gave them a try. What can you say about chicken sausage? They all kinda taste the same to me. Good, but not great. It’s not pork and not high-fat but to me that’s what makes sausage taste good. First I tried them on crappy pretzel rolls bought on Amazon Fresh - MISTAKE. They were better sliced and sautéed as a main course and sliced and cooked with scrambled eggs.

One of the best tasting sausages I’ve tried with real casing. Has a great snap but it’s really salty. I wish it didn’t have all that celery powder. I loved the taste but with all the sodium and naturally occurring nitrates, I can’t have it anymore. Really delicious, good amount of cheese, sweet and savory.

These are fully cooked. I sliced and pan fried in EVOO. Delicious and on my clean eating plan. Woot woot!!! Win win. Good alternative to traditional kielbasa. Not only were they tasty but the casing was a good texture too. I wasn't sure what to expect in flavor and made them with onions and peppers which was delicious, but this can easily be made with sauerkraut as well. More of a kielbasa than an Italian sausage.

On my second purchase (they were delicious), I noticed that the Gouda cheese was missing! I emailed the company and haven’t received a response.

These are my absolute favorite sausages! Delicious in just 10 minutes in the air fryer at 370.
