Mopar 0487 4373AB, Fuel Injection Idle Air Control Valve

I put this in a 98 Jeep TJ. I didn’t want to spend so much $ but the consensus amongst Jeep owners is that it’s best to go with Mopar for sensors and things like IAC valves. My IAC was old and brittle and it didn’t survive me cleaning it. I cleaned my entire intake manifold when I replaced exhaust manifold and I put old IAC back in. When I started the motor it idled at almost 3000 and the exhaust manifold got bright orange it was so hot. This fixed it right up.

After trying other aftermarket brands (waste of time and money) this factory correct IAC valve worked as it should right away. I was very relieved and happy to finally get rid of my idle issues and check-engine light. When it comes to our Jeeps, it just isn't worth it to try and save a buck on will-fit parts. They just don't work.

So far so good i would recomend buying oem sensors if your going to replace an old one theyre worth the extra money

After trying, and warrantying, two other brands from Amazon with no success in fixing my erratic idle problem I purchased this Mopar part and the idle is perfect and the scanner shows no strange voltage readings!Save yourself some headaches, buy the OEM part first!
