I will happily admit to being a knife snob, I demand quality and will not buy junk with my hard-earned money.That being said, this is absolutely an awesome knife for the money.I'd got this for basic camp chores and food prep, and the size and quality are perfect for my needs. I currently have an Esee 6 that was my primary camp knife for a few years, but always hated the handle and constant fight with rust in damp environments, plus excessive in size and weight especially for what I need.The fit, finish, and heft on the blade are surprisingly good especially at this price, for my needs Sandvic is Preferable for my over 1095 or D2.There are no gaps in between the handle and steel, the jimping isn't super aggressive and the sheath and belt clip are fairly robust. The blade came shave sharp right out of the box, to me, it shows the company takes pride in their product.Ergos with this knife is almost perfect for me, between the tapered palm swell, deep finger choil, and angel of handle it has a secure lock-up in the hand in either saber or reverse grip. The belt clip locking systems rather interesting, you depress the metal tab, rotate the clip to the desired carry position then it locks into place. That being said, lockup on the sheath is “snug” but definitely not tight, held it upside down and gave it a good shake and it didn't drop. Definitely wouldn't trust this in an upside-down pack carry without some sort of strap system though especially as it wears in over time.The only negatives I can find on this thing is the scales are a little slippery. Grip tape is a possible fix or possibly an inner tube, but roughing up the handle might be the easiest. But honestly, with the deep choil, I don't see any real risk of your hand sliding off onto the blade so, in the end, it might not be with the effort. The other thing is an optional retention system would definitely be nice because I like to carry my pack knives upside down. But these things are so minor and I can definitely improvise a solution.Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this especially if you are on the fence.

Nicely made knife! Symmetrically machined with no unevenly machined surfaces when comparing one side to the other side. Same with the G10 handles - nicely machined and contoured. Very ergonomic handle for small to medium-sized hands which is nice so we don't have 2 inches of handle sticking out the end for those of us with smaller hands!! Nicely done finger guard to keep fingers from sliding forward onto the blade edge, which is a good thing. Decently thick blade but not too thick so you can still cut with it - some knife blades are so thick (lol) good luck cutting anything with such overly thick blades but this knife was well-thought out for good all-around practical use. Blade tip is thick enough and not too pointy so it won't break off during hard use. Jimping grooves are nicely and evenly machined. Metal is a decent stainless with stonewash finish for maximum rust-resistance so no oiling of metal required. Nicely rounded full-tang edges at handle although there is no sharp right-angle edge anywhere for striking a fire rod. Knife also has its own serial number etched on it. The tough plastic holster is also nice with rotatable positioning feature and well-thought out. Appears well-made and I doubt it will crack or break. Can't believe the price - what a bargain!!

First, let me get this out for the way: If you're torn about getting this knife, go for it.Now on to the review.Even just looking at this in the box before I opened it up, my hopes were high just due to the quality packaging. Upon opening the lid I was greeted with a beautiful and well finished knife. It feels great in hand, with a nice balance and grippy g-10 scales with welcome rounded edges to keep the knife feeling like it belongs in your hand.The blade is a little over 1/8" thick, and feels extremely sturdy with well-placed jumping on the spine to inspire confidence when you place your thumb on top of the blade. The blade itself is Sandvik 14C28N, which I have some experience with already as a solid stainless steel that takes an extremely fine edge with great corrosion resistance. Not to mention that it's extremely easy to touch up with a hone, strop or steel. The stonewashed finish on the blade is also attractive, and right out of the box the blade was shave-your-leg sharp.All of the parts, not that there are many, fit well together with no hitches or burrs anywhere to be seen. The blade and scales both are rounded on the edges giving the knife a premium look and feel, though to get a fire striker working you have to use the notch near the choil since there are no edges anywhere to spark it.The knife fits very securely into it's sheath, and while plastic or kydex sheaths don't really float my boat, I can say that this one is well made and will suit most of you quite well with it's locking and rotating belt clip. I'll end up making a leather one myself, but that's just a personal preference.This knife is fantastic, and so far a great performer. The only thing I can see myself changing is the sheath and making a leather one as I mentioned above. I'll keep the review updated if any issues arise while I test it out carving, making feathersticks, or batoning. If they make a version of this with some nice wood scales I'd be more than tempted to pick up another, that's for sure.

Good quality, the blade shape, thickness and size fit my needs well. The handle is a bit short, but comfortable. I don't recommend it for larger hands, in my opinion.
