Raw PRIME & PURE Cocoa Butter 100% Fresh (1 LB)

Ordered a 1lb. package and instead received an 8 oz package. If you look at thefirst pic you can see that the main label says 8oz. They placed a sticker stating it was 1 lb over the original smaller 8 oz sticker, see second pic. I use this in soap making, so I decided to place it on the scale. It's 9oz. I will never order this brand again. This is not acceptable!!

When I received it, through the package it felt soft like shea butter. I opened and smelled, it smelled nothing like cocoa butter. It smelled like Shea butter I've ordered in the past. I weighed the package, and while still in the package it weighed 14.4 ounces and I ordered 1 pound. If it was cocoa butter it would have been short almost 2 ounces. I have soap and lotion recipes that calls for only 2 ounces of cocoa butter. I am returning it. Seems very deceptive. I will not order their products again.

I bought this to make chocolate... description says “for use in all formulations,” which I assumed meant it was good grade. When I melted it, it was super oily compared to the more expensive brand I got before. It didn’t have as creamy and rich a taste. Worst part is I suspect it was contaminated somehow (the packaging is crap as others have described)— first time I ate it in chocolate I had some stomach aches and my body was achy, second time I broke out in eczema (which I hadn’t had in over a year) and my eyes got crazy itchy! I had to throw out the rest. What a waste. This is clearly not food grade and may also contain fillers... I don’t know why it would be so oily otherwise.

I bought this in nov 2015 for making skin lotion for stretch marks, I made some for the first time using equal parts of this and shea butter and adding in some avocado oil, the results were dry in comparison to other lotions I made without the cocoa butter. When I first got the bag it smelled like chocolate, and I use a double boiler to melt it down and add ingredients. but in review I'll be trying another brand for better results as this crumbles and it hard to apply as a lotion. note the pictures and label on the product. Hope this helps others make a decision on their purchase.

The packaging says this product is 1lb but in reality it is only 8oz. The product smells like real cocoa butter, so thats good. But the only negative is the amount you actually receive is deceptive of what is actually advertised on amazon.

AMAZING!!! The smell is out of this world and it's helped with my eczema. What I do is I melt this with a little Shea butter because I like for the cocoa to over power the Shea butter but to still be soft enough for me to apply to my skin. I melt them down and add Grape seed oil, a little tea tree to help preserve it, and castor oil. You can add other fragrance oils if you want to change up thr scent and blend those in as well. I will refrigerate it and then whip with a hand mixer and it turns out nice and creamy. Or if you prefer something else I will use a silicon chocolate bar mold, add in my melted ingredients and let it harden and then boom. You have a chocolate bar moisturizer...literally. This has helped with with my eczema I use to get extremely terrible on my skin. I have been using this mixture for two months and I can honestly say I HAVE NOT ITCHED IN TWO MONTHS!!! I will be ordering more to make my own product's and sell.

This product smells great but has tiny pieces of the cocoa husks in it. I'm glad I saw that before I made chapstick with it. I used a paper towel to strain it because I didn't have a coffee filter.

This cocoa butter was okay. It was very crumbly in the bag. It smells good, like cocoa butter. I don't appreciate it not being all held together however, and the appearance of the cocoa butter looks very dry, but when you melt it down to use it, its not. Probably won't be repurchasing this again because of the condition of the cocoa butter in the bag.
