Sony CCDTRV318 Hi8 Camcorder with 2.5" LCD and Steady Shot (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

It works and in good condition but I wish I had NTSC tapes but instead I had PAL version so they couldn't play. The product had tape in it and it works

I was pleased with the quick delivery after the order. I had a slight problem with a cable, but UpBeat electronics worked with me, over the weekend, and refunded the cost of a new cable that I procured locally. UpBeat was a very customer service oriented company that works 7x24. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone that UpBeat is an excellent vendor to work with. I plan on using them in the future for any further requirements that I have.

Camcoder often has trubles with cassette winding. Battery is almost no capacity.But I finished required working.

Just received the Sony CAM with a very reassuring note confirming that they will stand behind their product with a promise to "take care of things". I am always skeptical buying used product. In this case, I am very grateful for a great purchase. Although I have not used the CAM as yet, the product is clean, packaged nicely, delivered on time and at a very reasonable price. The choice was pretty difficult. Either an entry level digital, or this higher-end Hi8 unit. I picked this one because I like the zoom, the night vision, and all the other great features I could not get in a digital at the same price. I also own an analog to digital box for my PC, so I can plug this Sony into my Firewire port anyway.The digital would have been nice, but I know I would have lusted after the bells and whistles after a while. This buys me a few years until the digitals improve and come down in price.

Edit: Item did not ship with an A/V cable - wasn't listed with the product. Reached out to the seller and they shipped me one for free. Really awesome service!!Bought this primarily to convert my Hi8 tapes to digital format. Unwrapped, plugged in the battery and so far seems to be working great. Battery has over 2hrs charge, but I'll primarily be using it plugged in for converting my tapes. Will update more in future. But so far very happy with the seller and the product.

Sadly, just now tried to use the camera and does not play back tapes. Not fully functional as described. Very disappointed in myself for not checking earlier to return. Wasted money :(.

The camcorder works great. Only issue was one of the connecting wires in the A/V cable used to connect to a TV (audio) intermittently worked and a new set of A/V wires needed to be purchased.
