This is a nice durable chair mat. I did allot of research and found the way to go is with a Polycarbonate hard plastic mat. I have wood floors and this mat works great. My wood floors are not slick so this mat stays in place fairly well. It doesn't slide as noted in other reviews. I bought size 48" X 60" so it came rolled up in a box. I immediately took it out of the box and unwrapped it. Be careful because it does spring open rather quickly. From that point on it laid flat and true on the floor. Did not need to use weighted books or objects on the corners. It's frosted transparent and does show some of the wood floor below. Having it completely transparent is not something I cared about. My main concern is to protect the floor. I would recommend this product and would buy it again.

This is protecting my newly refinished wood floor from abrasion caused by an office chair. It's doing its job well. I appreciated the variety of sizes and shapes available and the mat looks very nice.

Quality product. Wanted polycarbonate as it should be safe on laminate floors. Product did "walk" a bit, so I added 8, cabinet bumper dots to the underside to keep it in place on my laminate floor. The dots ahere to the underside of the mat, but don't stick to my floor. My chair easily rolls around, but doesn't create a safety hazzard by easily rolling away when I sit down. I have a blind dog and was concerned the non-beveled edge would cause a tripping hazzard for her. But she is adjusting well. It seems durable, but I haven't had it very long. I agree with those who cautioned buyers to be careful when removing the shrinkwrap it's wrapped in. It took a while before the mat would lay flat--maybe a week. I am happy with my purchase.

This floor protector works well on our new vinyl plank flooring. Ships rolled up in a long box. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TAKE IT FROM THE BOX AND UNROLL IT. It pops open with some force. Also, although it lies flat, if you catch it on something just right, it will crimp the edge. We know this from experience.

Received my chair mat today and was seriously considering returning it before I opened it. The package or box it came in was utterly dirty to the touch and partially opened as well. Anyway, I decided to take it out right at my front door as I did not want to take this box any further in my home. Outside of the two little nicks on either edge, the mat seems okay. As the package was partially opened the mat was also very dirty. Cleaned it off with paper towel and water, then a second clean with disinfectant. I cannot comment as yet to its durability and sturdiness as time will tell with that one. It's value also is determined by how long it last. It's a stiff sheet of plastic, not crisp but not that flexible either. It's like a much thicker and larger version of a plastic table mat. This definitely has to go on a very flat surface as it feel as if it could crack (hopefully not with time and heat) with weight if the ground is not level. I'm hoping it will last me for a long time paying $46 and all the work involved. I'm expecting another one to be delivered tomorrow; praying it will be in a much better condition.

I've tried so many chair mats and finally found the perfect one. It's so tough and durable, there's no scuffs whatsoever even after months of use. It's firm and thin and tough as nails. I'm a big guy and even the pricey mats allowed the chair wheels to plow into it on hardwood floors. The wheels would deform all the previous mats almost as bad as the thin ones from the local office store do on carpet, but this floor doesn't have padding. I thought I was going to have to pay really big $$$ for a tempered glass mat but this on is perfect. Yes it slides around from time to time and I have to reposition it about twice a week, but who cares. Plastic is going to slide on hardwood unless you glue/nail it down. I'm thrilled.

I have purchased many chair mats in the past and this one is by far exactly what I have been looking for. It's on the thin side but certainly very durable. I have already purchased a second mat for another desk in my office. May purchase an additional just to have on hand. Lays flat almost immediately as described. I have a heavy Steelcase brand chair and I was just about to purchase some pricey wheels to help with the rolling effort. No need with this mat as it rolls like no other. I'm a happy customer! This polycarbonate mat apparently is not slip-resistant on luxury vinyl planking, regardless of the claim in the product description. After two months of use, the mat is sliding everywhere on the floor, when using a desk chair or simply walking on it. Not a safe buy for LVP.
