Does need upper body control
Bought this as a cheaper alternative to replacing my old heavy duty PVC air lift and was very surprised at how good it is. The user will need some upper body control, at least to be able to sit up unsupported or using bath handles. I found some of the instructions a little confusing, as in one place it says leave the pump on charge all the time, but then it says leave the cushion fully inflated, you can't do both at the same time as the pump should not be charged in the bathroom and if you disconnect the pump the cushion slowly deflates. However I do get what they mean and once the cushion is dry I then put the pump on charge. Best value for money bath lift I have found.

Does not adhere to bath as well as a previous one I had from another company
Stuck in bath on first use, due to the stuckers on bottom moving,i t would then not inflate and my husband had to come and lift me manualy out of bath, I,m now very wary when I use it. I see that I am not the only one that this has happened too ,after reading all reviews.

Does need upper body strength
I would have given this a higher rating if it was easier to stay on when wet. Once I've washed and raise it to get out I have to stop several times to try and heave myself back on to the cushion as it's very slippery when wet. Also the back cushion inflates first and is very big and pushes me forward and off the cushion. Sometimes it's also hard to remain level and not fall to one side or other. If I didn't have sufficient upper body strength to deal with these shortcomings, I would get stuck in the bath. It's a very good concept and would be fabulous if these problems could be ironed out. I would definitely not recommend it to any one who doesn' have good upper body strength.

This works well for me!
After having double knee replacement two years ago, I found it difficult to kneel and getting in and out of the tub was quite difficult. I hesitated to order this product because in the past suction cup products for the tub had failed miserably and was concerned about it being an inflatable product, but missed my tub baths. I waited until after I had used this bath cushion several times and had recharged the battery before writing a review. It works great! I'm 5'7' and a plus size person and it gives me the support, comfort, independence, and security I need to easily get in and out of the tub without the pain from getting on my knees. I have a garden tub and it fits nicely. My husband did adjust it for me after the first use and pull it away from the back of the tub a bit because tilted forward a little. I like how the pillow part deflates last, so I can adjust the air in it to give me some back comfort as I relax in the tub. Make sure you are sitting on it as instructed with your knees bent when you pump it up so you don't feel like you are tipping forward. The suction works great and I am pleased with the overall quality of this product. I would highly recommend it.

Happier Now - Mangar sent new battery
Did some "Dry Runs" before normal bath. Found that if suction cup platform is too far to back of tub that on raising that the cushion back tends to push the user too far forward and wwill slide forwaard and off. When properly positioned to account for this and iif the suction cup platform has not slid toward the back it works well. However if the user has serious mobility problems and manages to knees bent and feet secure on floor of tub (with non slide strips ) then things have been going OK. (note review by Colin C).Did the equivalent of 3 loaded raises and battery handled it. Note- if there was a problem with lowering the hose could be disconnected from compressor and gravity works. UPDATE The Airflo compressor has failed. Cannot return that part only. have to rig up a separate air ssupply. Not Happy

Don't waste your money.
I ordered this product for my 75 year old husband who has been disabled from an accident since 1984. He has a lot of pain and soaking in a tub relieves his pain . It was getting more and more difficult to get him out of tub. He is thin but 6'1'' and is paralyzed on one side. This seemed like a perfect way to let him soak in tub and get him in and out without difficulty for him and saving my back. I had looked at other lifts but they didn't go low enough to really soak shoulders and get down in tub. mangars seemed to solve that.Well from the beginning we had a problem with the battery working .I followed directions to let it charge fully and deflate several times. The first time we went to use it my husband was undressed and it wouldn't inflate so we used a bath chair. My husband didn't trust it after that and it was several weeks before he would try it again. The second time it did inflate but the suction cups wouldn't adhere to the bottom of our fiberglass tub. I had him get in anyway hoping his weight with me also holding the cushion down would work. Lowered him into tub and shortly after the cushion slid to side now adhereing well to side of tub and putting him at an odd angle .I couldn't budge the cushion from side of tub so had to use a belt and to help him up to standing position. The only thing I could think of is that the anti slip strips on the bottom of my tub prevented the suction cups from adhering to bottom of tub. I tried a couple more times without him and still would not adhere to bottom so useless for us. After that one time my husband refused to get in tub.I thought well he has fallen and I'll keep it as I read people have used it successfully to get someone to a sitting position and get them off the floor. I had kept the battery continuously plugged in but when my husband had fallen the cushion would not inflate again. So I paid close to $800 dollars for something that is worthless to me.We are on limited income and this hurts. Very unhappy.

Wet the seat before sitting down, you might stick to dry Cushion
Found it very helpful & easy to use. I unplug the air after a couple of uses to let out all the air, so that I can hang it up & rinse it off. You can fill the tub first of not, I put a little water in first, then make sure the suction cups are in place, before I blow it up. I wet the seat, so as not to stick. Don’t forget a small bath mat for in the tub & a small towel to put in the tub edge so as not to slip on the edge of the tub. I also have a handy cane close by in case of need. Have your phone handy as another precaution. Enough said. Enjoy
