I got this clock because I was under impression it would glow in dark. Not so much.

Just like that it died just hanging there on the wall!!! After one year and 3 months.

As advertised, this is a silent clock and it is easy to read. The wood background looks good and doesn't look fake. Since it runs on batteries, there are no wires to worry about.My one issue with it is the glow in the dark aspect. I assumed that any light would charge it up so that it would glow at night. As it turns out, the clock gets its charge from lights in the room and not sunlight. We've stopped turning on the overhead light because of glare on the TV and although there is plenty of sunlight in the room all day, the clock no longer glows at night. If this isn't important to you, it's a quiet, accurate, nice-looking clock. If you need it to glow in the dark at night, then understand that it must get exposure from electrical lights and not sunlight. I know the glow hasn't worn off because when we turn on the overhead lights, it glows again.

Love the large numbers and glow feature

Not a bad looking clock for the price. However, you have to read carefully when clocks say they are lighted. This one has on light, just phosphorescent numerals and hands. In the short summertime nights this stays glowing, but in the long winter nights, I doubt it would. The final blow is I cannot see the hands at night with the clock12 feet away.

Its ok but it numbers don't glow very bright. But it keep time very well. That's why I always buy quartz clocks. There quit.

When you get it you will see that it is made in a chip way.

The two main issues people have with this clock seem to be 1. the glow, and 2. the noise of the dial. Ive had this clock for 3 months now.1 Yes, the dial does glow very well in the dark. It will need a daily, regular light source to 'charge up'. Mine happens to be facing a main window, three meters away, which works well. Once the room is dark, the numbers glow very well and are easy to read.2 The dial is indeed silent. I have slept in the same room as the clock. No whirring, no noise, nothing. If you go close to the clock, and listen out for a noise, then yes, you will hear a whirring sound. But otherwise, you will not catch anything, unless you are extremely sensitive.For the price, its a great clock. Shame there is no external casing, but for the price its all fine.

Looks good and so far keeps great time. The glow feature is decent enough, even though the clock is not in direct sunlight - I just flash a torch on it and it brightens beautifully. The wooden face fits well with my decor. I love it.
