It's okay. Still starts to sag in the middle and tension is not that great. But maybe that's just the nature of hoops in general. I used it for a few weeks before moving on to trying a qsnap.

I really like this hoop. It keeps my fabric taught and it's easy to hold.

I've tired other hoops, although haven't fussed with hoop tape, only used the bare hoop. They all have the same problem, it's difficult to get fabric drum tight, and require frequent fidgeting to keep it that way. This is why I like Q Snaps and never thought to try another hoop until I saw this one. At first I had trouble getting my fabric taut, but found that going around the hoop, pulling all the fabric tight as I went, gave me very good tension. After that I was able to stitch for hours without having to adjust the fabric at all. As a test, I left the fabric in the hoop overnight and it was still perfectly tight the next day. Another nice thing was that I was able to stitch right up to the edge of the hoop, something that's hard to do with Q Snaps. Hair clips easily corralled all my excess fabric (it's 15 inches x 18 inches), and my floor stand held the hoop easily. I'm now considering ordering more in larger sizes for my bigger projects.Like all hoops, you'll want to remove fabric every night to prevent permanent creases or stretching, and make sure to add felt strips or other protection to stitched areas that are between the rings. Stitching with 2 strands on 16 count aida with felt strips covering stitched areas, there were no crushed stitches, even after leaving the fabric in the hoop overnight.

All the good reviews are correct. This is the best hoop I’ve ever used. It holds your fabric tightly, it doesn’t slip or loosen up. I’m so glad I bought this one. It was 100% worth every penny.

I'm new to embroidery, and ordered this hoop because I was frustrated with my fabric constantly slipping on a wooden hoop. This is a game changer. I was worried that the plastic ridge might be sharp or fray my needlework, but it doesn't do that AT ALL and yet somehow holds my fabric perfectly taught. I love the eyebolt too. It's soooooo much easier to adjust than the normal screws I've seen on other hoops. I ordered another hoop from Morgan Products in another size.

Es mi aro favorito. Ajusta la tela maravillosamente, no se destensa. Lo he usado con varias telas y puntadas y siempre permanece la tensión. Es muy fácil de usar y suave. Muy bien acabado, no maltrata las telas. Quisiera encontrar unos iguales de tamaño más pequeño. Lo recomiendo muchísimo.

I hand sew quilts from start to finish and I also do smaller projects like smaller wall hangings. This little hoop is terrific because it holds without slipping. It’s difficult to find a small hoop that will do that, but this one does. If you hand quilt small projects, this little hoop will really become one of your best tools. I plan to buy more in different sizes.

I ordered this hoop because I had a 9 inch and it was too big, this smaller one is much easier to hold and stitch love it
