Awesome quality!
This is a great first Gimbal! Love everything about it so far! I purchased the DJI RS4 Mini. At the time I didn't realize my Canon R10 wasn't listed as compatible with it so when I tried to connect my camera to it and nothing happened is when I realized my mistake. Before returning this I updated to the latest firmware and in my case the Mini now recognizes my R10 and I can now use the record button on the gimbal. Everything else seems to work now feature wise and I'm definitely keeping this. I also purchased the tracking module and a brief case handle for it separately. This is my first Gimbal. I wanted to try one without breaking the bank and I'm very happy with it. Build quality is awesome and I like the auto locking locks when you power it on. It's not hard at all to balance. For first time users DJI has a YouTube video that's very helpful walking you through first time set up and balancing both horizontal shooting and vertical mounting positions. It seems to be with the latest firmware update more cameras may have been added that were not previously compatible with the Mini. I can't say this officially, but in my case my R10 now works with it. This is an excellent Gimbal for folks like me who are new to this. Giving this 5 stars because of the firmware update.

Love it
For the first decade of my filmmaking career, I resisted buying a gimbal. I heard all the horror stories, and it just didn't seem worth the cost or potential annoyance. Then I DPd a feature where the director wanted a ton of gimbal shots. So I bought this, and after struggling mightily to figure out how the hell this thing even worked, I fell in love. While I don't have any other gimbal experience to compare, I'm extremely pleased how the RS3 held up during some brutal shooting conditions. I haven't had to calibrate it in months, and that's with a DJI Focus Pro motor attached to my BMPCC4K, which makes it a heavy, bulky beast. The battery lasts for hours. It's typical to do one battery swap per 8-10 hr day, even with heavy use. It's so easy to use, so reliable and accurate, that I bought a second one. The A and B cams never come off the gimbals, even for static shots - just set the gimbal on a table, and if you need any movement, the joystick has you covered. There is nothing I wanted the RS3 to do that it hasn't been able to.I can't believe it took me 10 years to jump on board, but now that I have, I feel I really lucked out by going with DJI.

Great gimbal, light, and works very quickly and effectively
My first gimbal and an absolute winner. Tried it with a Canon R50V + 18-150 and with an R5 II + 35/1.4 and it was fast to get balanced and then operated flawlessly. The face tracker is first class and easy to use and especially with the second handle (I got the bundle) is very easy to hold and maneuver. Also tried it with a Shinobi II monitor mounted to the handle with a curly HDMI cable to the camera - I though the varying tension of the cable might throw it off but it worked great.Seems very nicely made and just works in minutes from unpacking. Charges fast too - only drawback would seem to be the non-replaceable battery but the light weight is a real positive.

Not what you need
Update:Honestly the more I use this the more I realize it was not built properlySo today I learned that you cannot use the Bluetooth functionality and the wired functionality at the same time.Which means you can connect it to your camera via the cable and control the focus ISO aperture but you cannot control the zoom because that only works via the Bluetooth functionalityAnd they cannot be used at the same time.Such a waste of good technologyPrevious review:Started off with a really bad experience* it shook the entire time moving left or right with the joystick (even with being perfectly balanced)* calibration didn't work after many tries failed every time* the update process took 2 tries because the app fully crashed during the first try* dji forces you to log in and give them so many permissions just to use it after 5 trys which includes turning it off/ which i had to do because out of the box it wasn't working properly at allCons:* the screen doesn't always work when you try to swipe and the UI is definitely not beginner user friendly* too many steps to be able to make basic changes/ especially changes to the joysticks movement ie slowing it down/ far too many steps you have to take within their menu by swiping down picking the part that you need to use and then making your adjustmentsShould have been on the first screen as that's one of the most important partsF- after you go through and make all of your adjustments as soon as you turn it off they're all gone you have to start over from scratch every time you turn it on* the locking motors is one of the best features I've ever seen on a gimbal don't get me wrong but it takes too long to turn back on* no way to track non human subjects/ there is no camera app that gives you Ai tracking functionality like other much cheaper brands* no phone mount came with the over $500 gimbal* no case came with it*screw to hold phone is Extremely short*dial wheel is way to small made for tiny fingers/ hard to use it smoothly with larger fingersHonestly for the price you pay they should have included a case and the phone mount they are always included with cheaper gimbal brands they give you them for even $150 gimbals.. very disappointingThat combined with all the out of the box issuesDefinitely not a good start or a good company first impression so far...I will update my review after I get a chance to try it againUpdate:Honestly it's not a bad gimbal and its ability to perform the motions properly, but the overall thought process of the UI screen layout and the basic functions being hid in different menus that don't always work especially when you need them to considering the touch screen is not flawless. That combined with the fact that it doesn't have a dedicated AI camera app that you can use that gives you abilities with the AI tracking module and access to the settings so that you can work it properly in the first place, like every other brand out there including the much much cheaper onesJust shows that DJI cares about your money but not about giving you what you're paying for.Just the basics they can get away with.Honestly overall I'm very disappointed..I would not recommend purchasing from Dji

Awesome performance
This is the easiest to balance gimbal I've used. Normally other older models can take a lot of time to balance, but if you're skilled, can do in 30 secs and good to go.
