There are times and places when starting a good fire can save lives. This brilliant product combines a waterproof, stormproof match with a waterproof, stormproof, long-burning tinder. My testing in wind and rain with damp tinder twigs demonstrates that these firestarters provide enough heat to dry out the damp twigs and get them burning.The only caveat is that the system will only work properly if you keep the provided red phosphorus striking surfaces dry and flat.

The Sweet Fire fire starters are the best fire starters I’ve ever used. These are FAR better than cotton balls soaked in Vaseline or any other goofy homemade system. They come wrapped as 4 packs with ultralight strikers for weight considerations while backpacking and consistently and easily start fires in even adverse conditions. They say they’ll burn for 7 minutes on their own but I’ve never needed that long to get a fire going. Highly recommended.

I use these fire starter wedges when lighting an outdoor wood furnace or a fire in the fireplace.Buy these, you can throw away your matches.I keep some in the Gator XUV in the event that I may need to light a fire, and any of you who backpack or camp, you really should consider carrying some.In the box, the wedges are wrapped in groups and there are additional strikers, so you don't need to carry the entire box with you, just a pack and a striker.Well worth the money.

Dont leave it out in the rail like I did, or they will be difficult to start. These are great fire starters if you keep them dry.

These matches get the job done and are so convenient to have around. I'm going to store them in some of my tin boxes that I have laying around for items just like this. Their burn time is great as advertised. Now I have all of the Titan Stormproof match kit sizes made by UCO.

These were incredibly easy and effective for starting campfires. Make a little bundle of tiny sticks, strike the match and jam it deep in the center. Place larger kindling on top. Even works with damp kindling. Added to my fire kit in the BOB.

こういうマッチ自体は昔からあるので「新たな選択肢」というのも変かもですが、ファイアースターターでの着火が難しい状況では普通にライターやトーチを使ってたけど、このマッチを火種に焚き火を育てるのも味がありそうです。炭への着火はこれだけでは無理があるので、これで小さい焚き火を作ってそこに炭をくべる、という方が無難かと。側薬は普通のマッチのように箱の横に貼り付けてある訳ではなく箱の中に入ってます。多分この側薬はあまり耐水性は無いと思うので、袋に入れて保管、ですかね。
