Outlaw Holsters 1911 w/o Rail

I carry a VP9SK daily, and typically use an IWB holster. I wanted an OWB Kydex style for occasions when IWB isnt possible.$30 is a good price for entry level OWB kydex, so I gave this one a go! Pros and cons:PROSIts lightIts cheapThe gun fitsCONSRetention isnt adjustable. I would prefer my gun to be a little tighter.It makes a creaky, flexing plastic noise whenever i move / walk, loud enough for me to hear so I assume others can hear it too. Not ideal as I dont want to draw attention to the firearm on my hip.The mag release isnt covered, not a big issue but I like to minimize the chances for any malfunctions or accidental mag dropsIt needs lower profile belt loops IMHO, it hangs a little far from the body. I am going to wrap electrical tape around these to pull the holster closer to my body and to reduce movement when I am walking / runningI like the carbon fibre effect, but it is a bit shiny and cheap looking.

This is a well made great fitting holster. It hard to find a holster that works and fits well. I'm like most and have closet full of holster that just don't quite make the grade. They either don't have good enough retention, don't conceal well, or just get in the way and rub you wrong. This holster is none of those problems. It fits close to your body at the right height and conceals well even under just a Duluth Trading T shirt. I have worn it now for a couple of weeks and the only thing that I did was to add a chicago screw at the base of the trigger guard to give it just a little more retention. Not that it wasn't adequate and held the weapon in place it's that I wear it all the time so in my activities I felt that it would be best it snug it up a little. I can loosen or tighten the screw as needed to increase or decrease retention depending on what the day has in store for activities. I have paid a lot more for holsters that haven't been worn more than a couple of times. I feel its a great holster that does what it's suppose to do at a reasonable price.

I really like the way this holster hugs the body tightly and retention is very good as well. The "but" is the belt loops.... The holster is curved dramatically and so threading a belt through them is a real chore. I ordered the optional belt clips and their drawback is that you can only get them in 1.75" (how common is a 1.75" belt?) which makes for a really sloppy fit. When drawing a firearm, it feels like the holster is coming with it. This one will be in the drawer with the other "I thought this would be a great holster" holsters. If 1.5" clips were an option, I believe this would be really good.

Just received my holster this morning and have had it in with my Glock 19 for a few hours. It is very comfortable and fits well. The thing I'm very surprised about is even though I have a slight "spare tire" being 6'3" and 275lbs (Using my wife's account, she is quite a bit smaller!), it fits very close to the body and is very easy to conceal as long as your shirt or cover garment is long enough. The weapon has a very positive lock into holster and seems well made. Does the carbon fiber loom real? Maybe from 5 feet, but it looks good. For the money I highly reccomend and would not hesitate to buy another!

So, I was very hesitant to purchase this. I have been burned before on floppy, bulky, and downright useless holsters. I decided I had to try it and if I really didn't like it I could return it. I "bit the bullet" and purchased it. Boy was I surprised. I had this in my hand before the estimated date of arrival for starters, then when I opened up the package I finally felt the holster material itself. It was great, though I am not sure this is real carbon fiber.... However, if that is the only downside to this holster then I consider this one of my best Amazon purchases to date! Basically it breaks down like this:Pros:- Outstanding retention, there is ZERO wobble when I put my G17 Gen 4, G17 Gen 3, or My G19 Gen 4. This is important, if my ccw falls out... well it would be time to hang up the holsters for good if I was that clumsy.- ZERO noise. It doesn't squeak, rattle, thunk, or make any noise whatsoever. Its amazing coming from a leather OWB with snap retention to this. It is fantastic.- Hugs my body making concealment of a full size G17 quite easy actually. I mean, I can always carry my LCP but this thing just disappears now. I'll take a G17 over any LCP any day. I am a 6'2", 240lb man with a slight spare tire and this is the only holster that can do this for someone of my body size and type.- Looks fantastic. While it may not be carbon fiber, it does have a very nice look to it and that is such a minor "fault" I would consider it a positive because carbon fiber is just not necessary when a holster is THIS light.- RMR fits perfectly with this holster. I have zero worries and if I want I can rock my RMR on my carry weapon. What an age we live in!- Fantastic price point, I mean 30-35 bucks? Hell, I have paid a lot more for a lot less and have been extremely disappointed.Cons:- Well, as mentioned... it isn't REALLY carbon fiber. It's not a con per se but it is advertised as such so I will count that against it.- Belt loops are a bit small, could be a limiting factor for you and requiring additional purchases or even modifications depending on your set up.- I'm gonna put the carbon fiber thing here again because quite honestly the cons are a pathetic looking list at this point. It needs SOMETHING to balance it out, right? No? Well, tell you what, I will end this review now because I quite honestly only have positive things to say about this holster (save for the carbon fiber and *possibly* small belt loops thing).In all seriousness, I dont write reviews normally. I think personal exploration and experience should serve you in life... however, in this case? This is just too good of a holster. Now, excuse my I just ordered 3 more different models of these and I can't wait to get them!! I could NOT be happier with this holster.
