Brilliant for portioning out foods for the freezer, saving space and preventing any waste. Firm, dry foods can be vacuum sealed as-is. For anything soft or moist, freeze it first, transfer to a bag, then vacuum seal. Foods can be boiled in the bag too, or microwaved if pierced first.I like the built in roll dispenser and cutter, which means I can tailor each bag exactly to my needs. It does a great job of drawing out all the air, and provides a good, firm seal. So far cleaning hasn't been a problem, but there is an easily removable drip tray inside should any liquids be drawn into the machine.The controls are simple and intuitive to use once you know what they're for. The unit is a little noisy, but only for a few seconds at a time. Not too big or heavy, I keep it in a drawer so it's easy to grab whenever needed. Overall it works very well, and comes in very useful for leftovers, batch cooking and bulk shops.

I bought this to replace a previous vacuum sealer which had eventually died. Couldn’t find the same brand as my old model so decided to try this one which was more expensive. Suction is good, seals well and fairly easy to use but it is very noisy to the point my dog barks at it when it is being used. I can cope with the noise as it does the job intended, hopefully the dog will get used to it.

Since the lockdown of the UK. I have been using this to package and preserve food in my fridge and freezer. Also to help make extra space.The unit is very well designed, metal finish gives it a premium look and feel. It comes with a roll which you cut and seal to the size you want, a few small bags which can be seal with the unit and a few bags that you seal by hand and use the unit to suck the air out with an attachment provided. It also come with an extra blade to cut the bags with and two foam strips. Ideal and important bits to have just in case.The instruction are clear and easy to follow. In comes in a form of a booklet and a sticker on the inside of the unit. For wet items, there is a small tray inside which collects the liquid for you to dispose of. Has seal and vacuum seal, also to seals dry or wet items. I sealed many items and had one issue. One wet item wouldn’t seal properly, even with repeated tries. My solution was, I adjusted the position of the bag, slightly tilted it. Hopes this helps someone.

Bought this to replace a cheap Cadrim model which fell to pieces after a few uses. This is much much better. Admittedly I have only used it a few times but I am very impressed.The built in roll storage and cutter make light work of preparing the bag.The vacuum seal function works well both in dry and moist mode. Any juices are sucked out into an easily removable tray which makes cleaning a simple task.Very easy to use and well designed.The only criticism I have is that there is a self-adhesive plastic strip on the front of the casing which looks as though it could be part of the packaging - it is not ! In fact the machine will not work properly without it in place. This is not mentioned in the manual so do not be tempted to remove and throw away!

At this price I was happy to take a chance after my £300 Food Saver developed a fault within guarantee, but it was like pulling teeth to get any Food Saver customer service. I eventually managed to get a refund after they tried to fob me off with a model half the price!Really pleased with this BonKitchen vacuum sealer as it works just as well as my old Food Saver. Even better, all the Food Saver accessories that I invested in also work with this vacuum sealer, including the FoodSaver FFC026X Preserve & Marinate Vacuum Containers, zipper sealer bags, jar sealers and rolls.What's not to love!
