B&W Hitches TS10048B Tow & Stow Model 8 5-5.5" Adjustable Triple Ball Mount Hitch and 5/8" Black Receiver Hitch Lock

This "B&W Hitches TS10048B Tow & Stow Model 8 5-5.5" Adjustable Triple Ball Mount Hitch" is a very, very nice hitch--by far the nicest I've used or owned. I've always had a hitch on every vehicle I've owned because I have a sailboat, and a utility trailer, and now am in the process of building a large houseboat for which I already obtained a 31' double axle trailer. As a result, I have need of multiple ball sizes, which is what first drew me to this product.Now that I've owned and used it for awhile on multiple trailers, I'm very impressed. It's extremely well built and finished. The height-adjustable feature makes it a snap to level various trailers properly so that they ride level as they should. Two robust pins determine the height of the hitch, and a third pin keeps the triple ball secured in place. When you want to swap ball sizes, just pull one pin, rotate to the desired ball, and reinsert the pin. When you want to change height, just pull the other two pins, set it to the desired height, and reinsert the pins.Because the height-adjustable slider runs up and down inside a welded channel, this hitch CANNOT be stolen or removed, even if someone pulls out all three adjustment pins. Likewise, because this product came with an included locking pin to secure the hitch in the vehicle's receiver, everything is theft proof (well, as much as anything can be). The only thing someone could easily steal are the three pins that control the height and ball size settings, as those are held in by cotter pins. If those were stolen, it would suck and be inconvenient, but I'm sure they're much cheaper to replace than the rest of the hitch--and I think it's unlikely someone would steal those pins just for the fun of it.The fit and finish of this hitch is considerably nicer than the standard fare hitches one usually finds on the shelf at a big box store or auto parts store. The welds are meticulous, the coating is flawless, the polish on the balls is a mirror finish (so nice, in fact, that the first time you use it for towing, you'll feel a little regret when you uncouple the trailer and see the unavoidable scratches in that finish for the first time). This is a hitch that offers enough durability and versatility to justify its price--especially for those who need to swap between different ball sizes and/or change the height of the hitch for different trailers as I do. Highly recommended!

This is literally the most bad ass tow hitch you’ll ever own. If you can’t tow it with this thing, it doesn’t need to be moved. Super adjustable in every way.You want something that’s not aluminum when towing (especially horses) because in the cold, those aluminum hitches and literally shatter or snap. Imagine losing your horse trailer because you got aluminum. Yeah, it’s heavy. It needs to be.Really great looking and secure. Beware of tweakers... you can lock the hitch into the receiver, but there is not a lock on the pins that hold the ball attachment to the hitch. You get someplace with a bunch of meth heads, and your balls will go missing - friends had this happen to them.We use this to tow a horse trailer that’s the 2 and 5/16ths ball and then a boat with the 2 inch ball. Great for what we need and easy to adjust without having multiple hitches and balls all over the garage and not having the right one on the truck. It’s pricey, but worth every penny.

There is only one thing that is a little a little misleading. Come to find out the supplier ships the hitch and the lock separately. Don’t know why but was a little frustrating when the box showed up with only the lock and no hitch. Contacted the seller and they informed me that they shipped the hitch and lock separately and can only have one tracking number due to amazons policy.I personally would have rather had the tracking number of the actual hitch then the lock. I am not sure if they have this information already on the discrimination box but would probably be a good idea to have a automated email sent out every time someone orders one so they know that the hitch and lock will both come separately.Other than that I have no complaints the hitch works like it’s supposed to and looks awesome. I would order this hitch again if needed and already recommended it with two other friends.

I love the intelligence of how this adjustable ball mount is designed. If you use the pin included, the mount is locked into your hitch. The three pins holding the height and the selected ball in place are held in only by cotter pins. Solid for use, but they could be stolen by today's losers in society. I do wish that B&W provided locking pins instead of these pins that can be removed without a key. Because of this, I only keep one on the vertical adjustment and the other two stay in my truck door in case soklme jerk decides to steal one, at least I'll have two pins with their matching cotter pins.It does weigh about 35# so it's good that it locks into the hitch and can be tucked under itself. I do recommend this product. Works great on my 3/4 ton 4x4. My friend's 1983 bumber pull horse trailer sat nicely on the second to last holes when the trailer was loaded with one horse. Almost wish I had bought the 7" drop adjustable but there's a good chance that I won't need it and will probably always have a level tongue for smart & safe hauling.

This is a top quality product and is priced accordingly. It may not be obvious; you will likely have to have this hitch in the "drop height" orientation in order to have clearance to rotate the balls to the hidden position.

Looks great, works great, very solid construction, and most likely the last hitch I’ll ever need to buy. Turning the ball around to the “stow” position is a huge plus, and means you can keep the hitch installed all the time.

I Love the fact that it is 100% AMERICAN MADE & it has the quality that once made us the world powerhouse of manufacturing Go B&W. Shipping was great only 2 days & it was on my truck and ready to go. I will be back for sure when I'm in need of upgrades for my truck.

I’m really pleased with the quality, design, packaging and instructions. I’m a little concerned about the drop length being too much for my stock 2013 Sierra. It seems the 2” version is almost not adjustable enough. And the 5” scrapes my driveway a bit
