El Paso Designs Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Western Poncho Sweater- 38"x38", Handwoven

First off, I bought this from Amazon and had to return it for reasons other than anything listed in this review.2 stars is being VERY generous based off of the item description. Sorry, El Paso designs. I had very high expectations for this. I should've paid more attention to the dimensions you providedAs a functional, warm poncho, it's more than adequate. it's very big and very warm. 5 stars as long as you're willing to pay the extra coin to have this pattern. If the pattern doesn't matter, this could be had for $30> from countless vendors.As a Clint Eastwood poncho, NO WAY. The design pattern is close enough for any genuine replica. The sizing, however, is WAAAAAAAAAY off. It's WAY, WAY TOO LONG and WAAAAAAAAY TOO NARROW to be a proper replica, or anything bearing the "Clint Eastwood/Spaghetti Western" names in the description.Like I said, if you just like the pattern/design and want a warm poncho, it's great. If you're thinking you're getting something that's going to fit, or look like how Clint's fit in the 3 movies, this one will NOT fit the bill...AT ALL. If you look at any proper replica, the dimensions are WAY different than this. By that I mean a proper replica should be around 57" WIDE by 28" TALL. This one is 38" wide (NINETEEN inches narrower than a proper replica) by 38" long which is TWENTY inches too long overall. Clint is 6'4"ish and unless you're that tall even the replicas won't look quite right, but a proper replica looks SOOOOO much better than this.If you want a GREAT replica at an affordable price, look at the Straightline Collectibles offerings in the $120 to $160 range in BROWN. (They also sell a $260-ish version which must be EXTREMELY nice). Both are the proper brown with a hint of green color. It's also the PROPER size. The material is much higher quality and is NOTHING like what this is, which is the typical "woven stacked rows" style you's see at WM or at a fair. The Straightline material does not have any visible rows. It's a very tight, smooth weave and VERY nice. A KEY bit of advice is to pay CLOSE attention to the dimensions of any replica. I'm 5'11" and this El Paso product looked straight up silly AS A REPLICA. Again I'll say as "just a poncho" it's great and has the cool pattern.I was really trying to avoid the high prices of the ponchos that came from vendors dedicated to replicas and memorabilia and took a shot with this one thinking I found a bargain. Unfortunately it's another case of "buy once, cry once".This is FAR from a Clint Eastwood replica, size wise ESPECIALLY, as well as material wise. 100% SKIP THIS ONE if a replica is what you want.

It's not like I'm trying to be Clint Eastwood or anything lol I just always wanted one ever since I saw him look so comfortable in it! And it's really smart idea as if ur walking around with a blanket on u all day! Just like those things they made now they call snuggies 😂 no this ain't old fashioned either, this is the original! .......the only problem for me was that it's kinda too big. I don't remember if I had a size choice or not, I probably chose the larger one! But I still love it!

We know why you're looking at this poncho, and unless you know how to sew, this is as close as you'll get to a movie-accurate replica of Clint's serape for the price point.Excellent poncho, I like the material & texture. I think they reflected in some of the reviews about the fragile collar, because the one I recieved is reinforced on the inside with a very sturdy velvet.I'm on the shorter side and including tassels it does reach down to my shins. 5 stars still because the measurements are listed and I knew it would be long in length when I ordered, so it's perfectly as described and fits exactly like it does on the model in photo. Offsetting it to the left or right of the shoulder will give a closer resemblance to Blondie if you're as short as I am. (5'7/5'8 something like that)Included in my photos is a Men's Large long-sleeve button-up shirt (with the sleeves cuffed) placed over the poncho as a size reference5/5

I bought this poncho for a costume but ended up wearing it for cold nights when camping, or just for fun when friends are over. It is high quality, and very true to the original design. My only complaint is the head hole is a bit big. I wouldn't recommend this for shorter people, I am 6'0 180lbs and even this pancho feels big on me. I can tell it will last for a very long time.

I just now received my new poncho, which I ordered the day before yesterday, and I love it!I am a large man, tall and hefty, and this poncho fits just as it is supposed to, easily being tossed over one shoulder to clear my holster, so that when necessary, I can quickly draw my Ruger "Security Six" .357 magnum service revolver.Having only just now received it, I don't know how well it will protect me from rainy weather, but it definitely is warm, especially since, underneath it, I plan to wear my fringed leather shirt (impenetrable to wind), and with my Cavalry stetson on my head.I heartily give this product, and the vendor, EL PASO DESIGNS, my highest recommendation.

Order four, because they'll only send half your order, like mine. Then only post positive super bubbly reviews, because you're not supposed to find order shortages to be relevant.

Great buy! Item was better than expected for the price point. Solid thick material and fit is perfect being a one size fits all. Gets me just at the waist and I’m 5”9.Using as a costume but could see using this on cold nights as a wearable blanket.Can’t go wrong here!

Poncho was great. Exactly what we wanted. Delivery by UPS was another story. If I had known it was being sent by UPS I never would have ordered it.

It wasnt as good quality as advertised, very over priced. You can buy the same blanket at Walmart, same quality, cut a hole in and be done. Cost you 15 dollars. I'm fairly disappointed given quality and price.I highly recommend the fair trade bolivian hand made alpaca poncho with good. Much better and actually comes in cheaper as well.Amazon is a win some and lose some kind of game.
