Every day millions of pet owners are faced with the task of medicating their pets. How many ways have you tried to trick your pet into taking medication? Like most pet owners you've poked them down, ground them up, hidden them in any number of unhealthy foods and pleaded with your pet to swallow its medication, only to have your pet spit it out, eat everything but the medication, drool and foam at the mouth, and resist you, tooth and claw! Now there is a better way. Pill Pockets are healthy treats with a patented pocket to safely conceal the medicine - it's as simple as that. INGREDIENTS: Chicken Flavor: Wheat Flour, Chicken Liver, Glycerin, Chicken, Corn Syrup, Pregelantized Corn, Turkey Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and rosemary extract), Water (sufficient for processing), Gelatin, Natural Flavor, Wheat Gluten, Starch, Soy Protean, Brewers Yeast, Salt, Lecithin, Lactobacillus Lactis, Lactobacillus Casei), Potassium Sorbate, Ascorbic Acid, Vitamin E Supplement.

As advertised, but cat may not like them that much
I bought these to conceal antibiotics and steroids for my cat after ear surgery. They are packaged in a sealable pouch and arrived moist and mouldable with little problem. The original shape is good for cat size pills- there's a cavity in the middle to poke the pill into, then you mould the treat around it to conceal the pill then present it to your master for his approval. Easy-peasy.The problem I ran into is that His Majesty does not like the flavor all that much. He'll eat them if he's hungry, but if not he turns his nose up. I have a long course of antibiotics and steroids to give him, and while using the pill pockets is better than throwing the pill down his throat, it's still not as convenient as I'd like. I have to time things to ensure he will eat them, which means I have to beat him downstairs at mealtime and put his dish up before he eats anything.Still, not bad for what they are. If your cat likes the flavor, it will be a very good way to avoid unpleasantness. If not, it's problematic.

Kitty hated these
I bought these to disguise a capsule that had to be swallowed whole, and the vet suggested putting one or two out for her for a few days so she'd get used to them. They smelled really bad to me and the texture was rather repulsive, sort of rubbery, and my girl not only wouldn't eat them, she wouldn't even eat her favorite treats if these were nearby. I also think these would have made the capsule far too large for her to swallow whole, and that was essential to the effectiveness of the supplement. I had to buy two packets to be sure of getting the chicken flavor, and the opened one is now in the trash. The vet will get both the capsules and the unopened packet of pockets to give to others to try.

Great for hiding pills
My cat is great at spitting out pills and since we started using these life has been much easier. They really mask the taste of the one, bitter little pill that was the hardest to get down. We use half a popper and shape it round the tablets.NOTE: my cat will eat just about anything, but not the Chicken and Cheese flavor. So, I would avoid buying those

Works, but still not easy.
I got these in today, and my cat unfortunately hates them. I personally thought they smelled bad as well - sort of like play dough with a bad artificial poultry scent. I think this may be the first time in his 14 years that he has hated a treat.Anyhow, I had to cut a crunchy cat treat that I know he likes in half, hollow it out a little, and then put his anti nausea pill in, and stick it back together with a small amount of the pill pocket dough. He still wanted no part of it and I had to shove it into his mouth as he was eating another treat that he liked. It worked, but it wasn’t super easy.I would say buy these if there is no other way, but plan to possibly have to force feed it, or trick your cat with another treat anyway.I have little confidence that I can get him to eat his pill this way very many more times, and it’s still a little traumatic for us both.

Did they switch formulas or something??
I have been using greenies pill pockets since December 2019. My cat absolutely LOVED the pill pockets and it made it really easy to give him his medication. Sadly, I ran out of the supply I originally bought from petsmart and decided to buy them online from Amazon. I don't know what happened or what is different but my cat will NOT eat these. He literally would beg for the ones from petsmart. I am not sure if the formulas have changed or if these are possibly a knock off. I checked the bags and they aren't expired.

Moist and Malleable
My cat can't eat fish due to allergies, but she does eat the chicken if I pop it like a pill. She gets her pills cut, so I have to break the Pill Pockets apart and use less than 1/2 of a portion at a time. They stay fresh in the sealed packet, however. I find that they are cheaper on Amazon than at our local big box pet store

My cat likes them
My elderly cat takes a lot of pills and these pill pockets make it easy for me to give them to him. I break up one pill pocket into pieces to cover multiple pills. I have heard you should only use the minimal amount needed to cover a pill to be sure your pet is able to digest through the pocket to get to the pill.

My Dog Loves These
I buy the Cat Pill Pockets for my dog's pills because his pills are so tiny. I don't need anything larger. They are the same -- just smaller. It is more economical as you get more individual pieces for the price even though the volume is probably similar. My dog loves both flavors and has added the word "pill" to his vocabulary. As soon as I say pill, he runs over and sits down -- waiting.
