I'm sorry for write this in spanish, my english is limited :)Este es sin duda, uno de los libros más importantes en la historia de D&D, he jugado a todas las ediciones y esta es una de las que más me gustan. Necesita menos preparación que segunda o tercera edición y es mucho más creativo, y divertido de rolear que la 4a Edición. Aparte del valor que tiene como pieza ya casi de coleccionista, resulta agradable jugarlo: es rápido, dinámico, divertido, y sobretodo, puedes centrarte en rolear y olvidarte de cientos de reglas y de mirar una y otra vez los libros como referencia. Contiene dos libros, el del Jugador, y el del Master y unos cuantos dados, y abarca desde nivel 1 a nivel 3, puede parecer poco pero no lo es, sólo con esta caja y algunos módulos/aventuras (oficiales o no) te esperan decenas de horas de diversión.Por este precio, si eres fan de D&D, no dudes en comprartelo. MUST HAVE!!

Ah, the old “red box” version of Dungeons and Dragons. Three and a half decades ago, this was a staple of many childhoods as the Basic Edition served as a fine introduction to D&D. It holds up well after all this time, thanks in part to the simple but vivid instructions and descriptions of character classes, equipment and monsters. The solo adventures included in the Players Manual and the monsters and adventure included in the Dungeon Master’s Guide hold up well. Best of all, this edition contains some memorable art from Larry Elmore which certainly stands the test of time. This is a great starting point for RPGs without bogging novice players down in rules while giving them enough support to start their adventures. Highest recommendation.

A blast from the past with all the Larry Elmore artwork I remember. The rules may be too simple for some, but I like the straight-forward, bare-bones, easy-to-manage qualities of it. It's still a great introduction to table-top role playing games with separate books for the players and the Dungeon Master.

My original Basic D&D is missing. This one is in better shape than my original that saw considerable use. D&D was the best game ever devised.

I sold all my D&D stuff many years ago after being a weekend player. Growing up I played the game alot. I stopped because of the many editions that changed the game. Seeing this set on amazon, I had to buy it, worth the price and some great memories. Im glad Im playing again.

Looks good, box was a little bent up and kind of scruffy on the edges. Staples in book were rusted, books falling apart. Should have included this in description.

I expected it to be used but not with stuff literally cut out of the books making them incomplete.

I collect old D&D stuff, and this was about as good as it gets! everything was as good as new. The dice were a little worn, but that is to be expected. The books, and even the crayon were all brand new. Beautiful addition to my collection.
