Description

This ornamental Banana comes from Assam and is really a tough easy to grow plant and will produce a succession of flowers throughout the year. Like all Bananas, the stem which has flowered dies after doing so and needs to be removed but that is about the only maintenance required. In average garden soil it grows to about 1.5 metres but may go higher in more fertile ground. It could be used as a centrepiece of a large container especially in summer
