I ordered this speaker to take on vacation with us as I didn't want to take our larger one..let me tell u this speaker sounds great! I would recommend it and may buy another one just to have it.

It’s a shame that an otherwise excellent speaker loses a star due to inaccurate description. One picture shows the speaker underwater with a heading of IPX5, while the description states IPX6. Neither rating is truly waterproof—the speaker is actually splash and rainproof. That said, the sound quality is impressive, especially considering the price is $16.99 less 30% bringing it to around $11.89.I’m buying them as gifts.But please do not use it underwater.

This review is for a budget friendly portable Bluetooth PEICHENG Speaker. Unit comes packed in a retail like package with clear sticker on both ends so you know if it has previously opened. Comes with the speaker, a lanyard and a short USB cable (Need to use your own charging block).The speaker is waterproof rated and while I didn’t test that claim I can say I have similiar speakers with the same claim and this looks like the same build quality. Regarding build quality, this speaker is light but solid and feels like it will hold up well to the rigors of daily use. It has row of buttons on top of the unit for power, vol +, vol -, play/pause, FM radio and light controls. The charging is tucked away under a silicone cover.The speaker paired quickly and easily to my iPhone 16 and sounded very good considering how cheap this unit is. Bass was been than expected and overall volume was decent.There isn’t any sound profile or EQ adjustment buttons but I can adjust EQ through my Apple Music App. With the few quick charges the sound went from good to great. Granted this isn’t a $200 speaker but for the price it’s a nice addition.Charges up at decent speed and has the option to listen to FM radio. Pretty cool little speaker that we can no bring to the beach and not be overly worried about some one stealing it.Overall battery life is stated average 8 hrs. I have had it running non stop for past 6 1/2 hrs and it’s still going so I’d say that an accurate claim. I like the price, the quality, the FM option, appearance overall and the waterproof rating (no I wouldn’t recommend bringing it directly into the pool or in the shower) but it shouldn’t get ruined if you have on counter in steamy bathroom or happen to be jamming outside when it starts raining.How likely am I to recommend this friends and family? This portable speaker’s a real crowd-pleaser—pumps out clear, loud stereo that fills the room or beach without cracking under pressure. Bluetooth 5.3 locks in fast, no stuttering, and the battery keeps it rocking for hours—made it through a whole cookout without a recharge. The RGB lights sync up nice, adding a fun vibe to the tunes without being obnoxious. IPX6 waterproofing’s legit—splashed it by the pool, no worries. Pairing two with TWS is a breeze if you grab another, though this one flies solo just fine. UPDATE: TWO months to the day I received this speaker and it has completely quit working. It just went kaput. My original review was accurate at the time it was written, but it is only fair that I update this review and report that after a mere a two months of VERY LIGHT USAGE, this great little speaker just ceased to work. I am very disappointed.Full disclosure - I am not an audiophile, so if you need the nerdy review, keep going please. This little speaker is great for me and my purposes, which is to connect my phone and play music in my home office and while I am cleaning, cooking, or when we have guests. It sounds great, charges quickly, and it has played consistently for 6-7 hours before needing to be recharged. Given the very affordable price-point, it is an excellent value for the money. The size is perfect and I can toss it into my backpack when I travel and use it on the road as well, so I always have music on the go. If you need a quick and easy and affordable speaker and you don't want to break the bank - go ahead and pick up this little gem for a song. It's a keeper.

I am very disappointed in the speaker. I had the volume all the way up on my device and on the speaker itself, and it is not what I was expecting. I will be returning this product most likely. I purchased a two dollar speaker from Temu that works better than that very disappointed. Don’t bother wasting your money or your time.
