Great armband for iPod touch (4th gen)!
I finally got with the times and got an iPod touch! I also workout frequently (this includes running). So I went on the hunt for a good armband that would work well with a touch screen and also not allow the player to fall out of its holding. Many of the products I researched had the same flaw: it was difficult to use the touch screen on the iPod.I found the tuneband from Grantwood Technology on amazon.com and all was saved! A few reviewers complained about the band scratching the back of the iPod. First, who cares if the back of your iPod is scratched?? Really. I just didn't understand that. Second, it did not scratch my iPod* (*Disclaimer: I only was using the armband for about a week before I put my gelaskin on it, so I can't attest to if the tuneband does in fact scratch the back of the iPod after 1 week). The only bad thing about this product isn't actually anything that is the manufacturer's fault. The band is only 15" long, and my upper arm is 16" (I prefer to think that I am just too buff for the average size armband....). Some people wear these types of bands closer to the elbow. I do not. I wear it closer to my shoulder than my elbow (it's just more comfortable for me). When I wear it closer to my elbow, the 15" band fits. So my suggestion to you is to measure where you plan to wear it before you buy it. I could wear the 15" band, but it was tight and pinched quite a bit (I got a bruise). I contacted the seller, asking if they had a larger band since I had read reviews from skinny girls with only 10 inch arms who said the seller supplied them with a smaller band. Grantwood Technology got back to me within a day and offered to send me a larger band free of charge! They had a 19" and a 22". They sent it out immediately, and I got it a short time later (maybe 3 days later but definitely not longer than 5 days later). The new band was such an improvement. No more pinching or bruising! Then Grantwood Technology emailed me to make sure I received the new band. I felt like I was a valued customer, and most companies miss the mark when it comes to good customer service.Seriously, I hope people can appreciate this high level of customer service, especially nowadays when it seems that we only talk to automated emails or operators. Sean was the name of the representative I talked to (who so happens to be the Co-Owner).Alright, here's a summary:Armband: Once I got the right size, it worked perfectly. It is all velcro on one side, so this allows you to have maximum control on how tight/loose you need it to be.Skin: Fits well over the iPod touch and is still thin enough not to be a bother. It adds only a little weight to the player itself. You can definitely leave it on the iPod at all times (which I tend to do because I exercise 5-6 days a week, so it would be pointless for me to take it off in between uses). I have no problem charging the iPod while the skin is on.Screen protector: Does the job, but there are a few bubbles I just couldn't get rid of. No big deal for me.Overall: I think this is a great price for the three items you receive. Most iPod touch armbands cost around $30 (or more), so $19 for an armband, skin, and screen protector is a great deal I think, not to mention the great customer service. Too bad I didn't know they had the skin in purple. I would have preferred the purple over the black, but it's my own fault for not looking for another color besides black. So if you want a different color, make sure to look for it!

Good Gym Companion - Works with Zagg invisibleShield
I feel confident that this nice, simply designed Tuneband will accompany me on my gym workouts, but I'm hesitant to rely on it while running because I wish the iPod itself could be secured to the band rather than just the skin. The skin that came with mine kind of puckers out at the bottom middle around the push button on my iPod, and I can feel a little "wiggle" of the iPod in the case. For the gym, that's not a problem for most things, although I took if off during my P90X Plyometrixs workout because I felt the wiggle was distracting me as I was afraid my iPod was going to fall out. That workout convinced me that I'm not thrilled about the idea of taking this on a run because the last thing I want to have to worry about while running is whether my iPod is going to fall out of the case. I may attempt to modify the band myself and add an elastic piece to the arm band that would actually wrap around the front of the screen and see if this would make it feel more secure in the case. (If the manufacturer's read this, it would be nice if there was something you could do along this line!). Also the skin/case slides up and down on the arm band when I start sweating, and adds to the "not quite as secure as I'd like" feeling that I have when I wear this. This is the only thing keeping this product from a 5 star rating.Unfortunately, with the way most women's moisture wicking gym shirts are designed, the sleeves are too short to wrap the arm band around the sleeve, so the band is always going to wrapped around the skin of your arm. However, I do like that the hard/hook side of the velcro is on the portion of the band that you close rather than on the band itself, and is pretty much guaranteed to be completely fixed to the soft/loop side, so you don't end up with a million little snags in your expensive workout clothing.I have a ZAGG invisibleSHIELD on my iPod, and so I didn't need to use the screen protector that came with this armband, but it is definitely nice that the skin works with the protector I already have on.

Great, versitile case for your ipod
The Tuneband for the iPod is great. It is a basic, simple rubber sleeve that fits over the iPod. It has 2 slots in the back for the armband to go through. It is awesome. I keep the armband in my gym bag and install it when I work out, and when I take off the armband to shower, I simply put it back in the bag.Without the armbnd, the thin profile of the rubber barely adds any bulk to the device, and it protects it from drops and scratches. It fits in my pocket easily and the rubber is not annoyingly sticky, so it slides in/out pretty well, too. The case also still allows me to fit the ipod into all my music docks without having to re-adjust the size of the adapter - which I was not expecting and left me pleasantly surprised.I have had problems with other fabric armband cases where they slide down my arm while running - which is very annoying. My 4th Gen iPod Nano does this quite often, and I have always had to tighten the armband to the point that my arm almost falls off just to keep it from sliding down. Since this case is rubber, the friction keeps it in place even when the armband feels somewhat loose.Keep in mind, though - this does NOT have an attached screen protector. It does, however, come with a single stick-on screen protector, which works much better than would a loose-fitting piece of plastic attached to the case. Great product!
