Not quite the real deal
These shoes are fine for the price, but I think that most, like myself, are comparing these to the Allbirds shoes that pioneered this style of sneaker. Since I bought these, I have purchased a pair of the real Allbirds, and this review is basically comparing the two. The urban fox pair is quite comfortable actually, and the wool is nice and soft. So for $40, its not a bad shoe. However, it doesn’t compare to the Allbirds brand. The quality of the construction is noticeable better on the allbirds, and the shoes look a lot better and more put-together than the urban fox. The little details are better too, like the soles, and the laces are much higher quality than the Urban fox. They are both very comfortable, but I much prefer the allbirds for the quality and look.

Soft. Maybe too soft. Heel failure.
As inexpensive alternatives to the very popular AllBirds wool shoes (around ($98), these every day soft and comfortable are a bargain at $38. I don't imagine they make the soles from sugar cane, as promoted by AllBirds, but quite sure most are not compelled to buy or not buy based on this option.I've worn mine daily for two months.Size 13. And if anyone is going to where out a pair of shoes quickly, it's me. Big guy, large feet. They have held up well. A natural side effect of a shoe this pliable and this soft is the lack of structure when idle. They look a little floppy. But they snap into shape when you slide your feet I to them. One complaint: the heel is also soft, pliable and unstructured. This is sometimes a problem as the heel may slide off the foot (rare) and have to be pulled back up by hand.-----Update: as I feared, the heels have caved in. No structure, feels like I'm stepping on the heel with every step.

Comparison to Allbirds - My Experience
So I had both these Urban Fox shoes and Allbirds. My allbirds were purchased at the end of October 2019 and by the end of February 2020 there were starting to fall apart, by March 20120 they had holes in them! I've contacted Allbirds and i think they've have since made changes and I will see when they send me my new pair. but $95 for 4 months is not acceptable. I had a comfy pair of Sketchers that fell apart after 6 months and were $50 - i thought allbirds would be a better option. just FYI - i typically wear them 4 days in an office environment (sneakers on Friday) so not heavy outdoor use but lots of hallway walking.Anyway I bought Urban Fox pair at the same time for comparison and, thankfully, they are still with me today and no damages. They are very comfortable but not as comfortable as allbirds. I added the insoles from the allbirds to these and they are about 80% of Allbirds comfort. I actually bought many allbirds insoles for other shoes as well. $15 is expensive but my feet appreciate it. So for $40 + $15 = $55 you get most of the comfort of the allbirds! I also ordered Merinos and will let you know how those compare. I do wish urban fox made a solid brown pair.

Comparable Buy
I bough these shoes because I liked the style and I was curious about how the wool would feel and hold up.I wore them when it was raining outside and my socks did not get wet. This doesn't mean that they could not get soaked, I'm sure they could, but for throwing them on during a light rain and maybe running errands or whatnot I think they would be good. Also, My feet have not felt sweaty either. I think the wool really helped with circulation. It feels really light, but not flimsy. It's not a thick shoe, but the wool makes a difference. I think the trade-off is a thinner shoe, but also pretty well ventilated and insulated for it's material. Lastly, I am curious how it holds up in the winter, I think as far as being warm and protected there shouldn't be an issue with coldness and snow as I've stated before, the wool is a great insulated and show just brushes off compared to canvas type material where it tends to pool and absorb. There isn't great traction so I don't anticipate walking well with them especially with ice.

Good overall for the price
Pros:They’re comfortable and have a very soft insole. They’re a little wider in the ball of the foot, and I get a little bit of slide. They do look good, have gotten compliments alreadyCons:A lot thicker than Allbirds, more like a thicker athletic shoeThe seam between top and sole is a little roughAlready having some pilling/toughness of the insole (about 2 weeks of use)Tossing this up here since I was just able to compare side by side to Allbirds (which is why you’re looking at this item). Overall, I do like them, and so they were at least worth the price.

Comfy wool deck shoe that you can wear almost anywhere
When my allbirds gave out, I wanted another comfy wool shoe that didn't cost as much and also one that didn't look like a sneaker. The white soles and laces on the Allbirds announced themselves as desk shoes wherever I went. The version of these shoes that I got had black soles and black laces. They are comfy and breathe well, but most of all, they are discreet. I'm sure the people who are into men's shoes will look at them at tut-tut if you go to a formal event in them, but regular sane people will not give a rat's a**. As it should be.The only thing that keeps me from giving this five stars is that the sole insert on one of the shoes comes out along with my foot every time I take the shoe off. Putting it back in is no big deal, but ... it's not been a problem with most shoes I've owned.I've only worn the shoes (everywhere) for about six weeks so I can't speak for long-term durability, but ... so far, so good. Would recommend.

Comfy, stylish and good value
I wear these around the house and out if the weather is nice. Really comfortable but try a half size larger.

Smaller than any size 9 and I have to pay to return them?
They were too small even though no size 9 ever has been too small and it was going to cost a third of the price to return them. Luckily they fit my son. I'll never risk buying apparel or footwear from Amazon again.

Satisfecho con la compra, precio y calidad. Es lo más cercano a los Allbirds y más que no hay en México.
