good news and bad news ( I bought Sampler.)
After a dental injury, I needed to find vegetables that didn't need biting, and I figured baby food couldn't be the only option. Then I found these, and they seemed ideal; they even came in a favorite flavor ---Beet and dark Chocolate. I already put beet juice (but no sugar) in my morning chocolate, and I love the taste.Oops! Apparently, to the makers of these brownie bites, "dark" chocolate refers only to the appearance, not to the taste, because all I can taste is SUGAR, backed up by flour --- no chocolate taste, no beet taste --- and although the texture is a pleasing brownie-like tooth, it turns quickly to mush in my mouth. The Carrot Cinnamon also suffers from blandness of both taste and texture --- too smooth and mushy, too sugary, not enough spice, and, really not enough yummy carrot taste. The pumpkin maple nut was better, with a pleasant & noticeable pumpkin taste, a few nuts for added texture, and a nice pumpkin-pie-like spicing. It was not quite as overly sweet-tasting as the beet and carrot, and not quite as mushy. The Zucchini Lemon was the least sugary-tasting of the four, probably because the excellent lemon taste balanced out the sugar. The texture is still too smooth, but it was less annoying for some reason. I would not buy the beet or carrot versions again, but I might buy a box of the Zucchini Lemon, or perhaps the Pumpkin.

Rock hard, dry, and mealy
After I bought these from Amazon Farm and Oven sent me multiple emails begging me to write a review. I'm annoyed enough by the constant emails to do it.Look, I really wanted to like these things. The flavors are right up my alley. Beet dark chocolate! Carrot Cinnamon!Being charitable, maybe the variety box I got sat in a hot truck too long or languished unwanted at a warehouse? Regardless, when it got to me every single flavor of these teeny tiny nuggets was dried out to the point where it wasn't quite rock hard like a brittle but was almost impossible to break apart with my teeth. When I did achieve a vicotry bite it sucked all the moisture out of my mouth. I tried rehydrating the beet dark chocolate ones in some hot chocolate (which kinda defeats the purpose of a healthy snack, but I paid a lot of money for these). They crumbled into a distasteful powder and I had to throw away the bites and the hot chocolate. The zucchini lemon poppyseed ones were not only just as hard, but also tasted like something in them had fermented. It was bizarre and offputting.I wrapped the carrot ones in damp paper towels and microwaved them on low for 30 seconds. That got me the best result, but in the end it was still 3 tiny, unsatisfying, barely seasoned nuggets of blah that made me feel like I'd been conned out of my cash.If you bought these because you're trying to eat more veggies, I recommend a bag of baby carrots. If you bought them because you want more fiber in your diet, try metamucil.Honestly, most of the time if I don't like a product the first time around I'm willing to say hey, maybe I got a bad batch and move on with my life. But paying too much for overpriced, inedible warehouse leftovers then being bombarded by messages demanding a review? It's enough to inspire me to write a very honest one. This product has all the taste, charm, and tenacity of a Nigerian Prince.

The texture is about what you should expect
Texture and moistness are the issues here. All 4 varieties are somewhat dry and dense.Pumpkin maple pecan was the best, spiced well, most moist, just a bit too dense. I may order more of just this flavor.Lemon zucchini poppy seed was next best with a decent flavor, just dry like a "day-old" marked down baked product. How do you mess up carrot cake? Carrot cake is a known good. This was by far the worst of the 4 Dense, flavorless, and dry. I looked at it for an hour, willing myself to finish then gave up and fed the 3rd one to the Dobermans.I saved the Dark chocolate beet for last. Just ok. Too many 2-bite Brownies in my past, I guess. A bit too dry but not horrible. Why 4 stars, not fewer? The product is probably as good as you will get in a vegan, veggie concoction passing as a treat for the guilt-ridden.

A better for you dessert or snack
this review is for Farm & Oven Carrot & Cinnamon Bite-sized.... First off, within the box are individual packagesof 3 "cookies". I'd prefer to give these 3.5 stars, if I could. They're ok. I can't say they're delicious but they're notbad either. For the most part, they're better for you than almost any dessert or snack most of us will reach for.I don't know exactly what I was expecting so, I know, this review is a little confusing. They aren't real sweet --whichis good, or better for us anyway. I'll reach for a package when I'm needing a snack and want something that isn't "bad"for me. As for all the ingredients, I'm not sure the probiotics survive the processing but, having added them can't hurt.I like that they're non-GMO and organic with no preservatives, etc. If you're looking for a healthier snack.. these qualify-but I guess you'll have to wait because all varities are unavailable at this time.

Not too bad
I got the sampler pack. In general I'd describe the texture of all the flavors to be dense, chewy, and moist. They are not dry or crumbly. Reminds me of a dense fig newton or dense brownie. I found the texture very pleasing. As far as flavor, my ranking from best to worst:Lemon poppy seed: a light, clean lemony flavor. The poppy seeds provide a nice little pop in your mouth. You can't taste the zucchini whatsoever.Pumpkin maple: tastes like your standard fall pumpkin spice baked good. I believe I did get a piece of pecan shell in mine though, so beware.Carrot cinnamon: meh. Flavor was ok but the texture of the carrots was not pleasing.Beet chocolate: tastes like a nice semi sweet chocolate at first, but then you get that dirty beet flavor at the end and it's just not good.
