First off I’d like to say that I don't review products often so you may or may not find this helpful. I’m a big fan of straight shaving, I’ve collected antique razors for several years now, and typically keep my facial hair in line with a traditional razor. I initially purchased this razor for travel purposes as something I could store several blades in a container and not worry about a strop or polish exc. however after the first use of this razor i can easily say its of very good quality and could provide years of good use if properly maintained. Id recomend keeping it dry and oiling the piviots now and then at least. Truly a good all around introduction to a traditional shave.

I absolutely love the razor!! I just got into straight razor shaving about two months ago and before I got this one I was using the crappy $5 straight razor u usually buy at a dollar store with the slide out loading feature...this blade is so much heavier and u can feel the high quality materials it’s made out of, not cheap plastic and crappy steel like the dollar store straight razors at all, only thing I’m still getting use to is loading this razor, on mine it’s a bit tricky to get the blade to sit in it right, but once it’s in it’s in there good, and the shave is so much smoother than my old cheap one, only thing I would change is I wish they still had the pure black model with the gold locking lever, as far as I’m aware they are the only ones who sell the black widow razors on amazon and I had the black one in my cart to purchase when I had the money to and I went to purchase it and it was labeled “sold out we don’t know when or if this item will be available again for purchase”, so I had to look for another color and thankfully they still have the black and chrome model that I gotten but still the all black would have been better, please bring it back barber toolz, other than that u will not be disappointed if u purchase this razor

Awesome design and the weight distribution is spot on. It has a little more blade exposure than what I'm used to so it might take me a while to get used to it but overall, I love it. I'm a female barber (25 years) and guys tend to treat me like I don't know what I'm doing sometimes, so this will come in handy to keep them in line I think, too.

I’m giving three stars because when I recieved the razor the clasp was super loose, and when I used it the clasp would raise almost unlocking the razor. When I contacted the company they told me to tighten the clasp easier said than done. The metal is very hard to just press together and tighten so I had to use plyers. For me paying $20 for a product I should not have to do that QA should have been done before shipping.

This product is no joke...within 1 minute of putting on the blade and trying to trim around my mustache I'd cut myself TWICE. The product is well made and has a good weight to it. Fair warning though. You have to know what you're doing to use it.

Everything fits together well and feels comfortable in my hand, bonus blades were trash and mostly useless on facial hair as coarse as mine but probably decent starting blades if your new to shaving like this.. nobody should be expecting good bonus blades anyway.. just don't judge this until you try it with decent blades.

After shaving myself with this I am pleased with this shavette. I wanted to shave with a straight razor and my cousin suggested a shavette instead of a traditional straight razor so I could get the feel for it. Since he is a barber who uses a straight razor on clients daily I took his advise. It sliced thru my beard like nothing and I have the coarsest beard imaginable and it does it. The feel and build quality of this razor is great! I will upgrade to a Dovo as suggested by my cousin.

Great blade, a lot thinner than what I was expecting but the cut is excellent. The handle is awesome, has a little bit of weight to it - which is great
