these were fairly simple to install. I do like that the latch length is adjustable but it's too adjustable. it is constantly twisting and moving when I open and close it. when you're trying to unlatch it one handed because you have your hands full it's pretty difficult. and if it twists or falls then it's too tight or too loose and you have to adjust it again. my husband is going to add another nut and try to "lock" them on either side to prevent it from spinning and moving on it's own. overall they work well.

Good latch

Latches work great! Since they are a "cam" lock, once pulled down into place, no one is able to circumvent the lock nor open the barn door. I put them on sliding pole barn doors. If you're worried about burglars stealing the equipment out of your barn, use these. I lived in NYC and I even think I could have adapted these to the door of my apartment as well. Sure would have added an extra layer of security.

We had these Cam Locks on our old barn and they were great! So I was happy to find them at such a good price for our new place. They hold the door securely shut or in open positions so the wind doesn't catch the door and slam them around. But they also are very secure to intruders....doors will not budge when these are in a closed position! Also great my horses can't get them open!

Added one of these to either end of a new sliding barn door that I recently built.These are well constructed, simple to install and easy to adjust for length. They pull my large sliding door securely against the jamb.Price on Amazon was better than my local TSC, where I first found them.

Installed on sliding barn doors. They do the the job quality is fair. Only issue was they had the wrong jam nuts.
