Mortier Pilon - Kombucha Continuous Brewing Starter Kit - Kombucha Jar + Ingredients For Homemade Kombucha

This product was a gift. My grandson just started making kombucha and I wanted him to start out right. I initially wanted this for myself so I knew this would be perfect. He loved the looks, instruction and everything at hand to start a batch. He is waiting to start 2nd fermentation. This takes brewing a step ahead of others as you start with continuous brewing.

Easy to use, clean and looks great.

The box is all broken....it looks like it is a used product and not something new. I feel bad having to give that to my son for Christmas.

The Mortier Pilon kombucha kit was a low-cost good introduction to komucha brewing at home, but if you are looking at going with continuous brewing, the vessel is too small. My main quibble is that the brewing directions have nothing at all to say about optimum brewing temperature, which should be around 80 degrees F. So it was awhile before I found out that my house is too cold in the winter, and I needed to buy a heating wrap. Once I had that, the brew worked, and I had my first batch ready to drink in about a month. So not bad, but not exactly what I needed.

Should have heeded the online reviews. Received broken and the return policy states that i cannot return it???
