Colour Name:Opaque Matte  |  Size Name:200mm x 1000mm This high-density, super strength paint protection tape will outperform any cheaper tapes on the market! Rhino Hide is made from robust 220 micron polyurethane and was originally designed to protect helicopter blades. This film can be applied to painted surfaces to protect them from scratches, chips, abrasions and weathering. Like all Rhino Hide products, this clear tape is tough, versatile and made to last. It will not yellow, crack or peel providing it has been installed correctly. It is supplied with a backing film and a gloss side protection film to protect from scratching whilst squeegeeing during installation. Not only is it more durable than the Chinese versions sold online, it is much more versatile and forgiving in the installation process. If you don't place it correctly the first time, simply pull it off and start again, the adhesive will lose none of its properties and you can remove and replace it as many times as needed. Manufactured in Germany to meet automotive "OME" standards, this durable film is conformable, flexible and long lasting and unlike most other products, Rhino Hide will leave no sticky surface residue when removed.

Great but you may be confused
Great product, on the whole i must say it does *NOT* come in a roll of tape, it comes as a strip. - always order more rather than less, because this material is easy to cut to shape. The only thing you will struggle with (if this is your first time with materials like this) is the Instruction manual - The way the tell you to apply it is simple, yet stretched over too many words making it confusing. So here is your installation guide in a quickie nutshell. You get your strip, and you peel a backing layer off - Its translucent like the material, Once that backing plate peeled off, it reveals a sticky surface - wet the sticky side. *AND* the surface you want to apply it too. *depending on types of surface*Then you simply stick it onto that surface - you'll notice it will not be that sticky, to get it to stick properly (especially around curves) you need to use a hairdyer (or a heat gun, but hair dryer is the best) and just heat it up, the areas you want it to start sticking. Ensuring you push out any bubbles of trapped air, you have a good window of time, so take it slowly.Additionally, Use Slightly soapy water in a spray bottle to wet the surface - Dish soap is fine, a light hint of it is best.

Buy 3M helicopter tape - not this stuff!
I couldn't understand the reviews on here about this tape - some said great, some said poor. I bought a 2m strip to put on my new bike - and I wish I hadn't bothered...Out of my 2m strip, around 30% was useless. When sprayed with water (as per the instructions), the adhesive went white, bubbled and simply ran off the surface - so when I tried to squeegee it onto my frame it had no adhesive left and just fell off - uttrely useless!! The amazing things was that there were other pieces that worked perfectly, and have stuck on no problem - so this really is a "so-so" product.Given the fact that it only works SOMETIMES and that the Seller failed to answer my email complaint, I can only deduce that this stuff is third rate and sold by conmen - so do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

Effective protection and cost effective.
Currently protecting the doors and kick plates on my new people carrier. I wished I'd put it all over the rear bumper before I let my son drive it.Easy to apply, just follow the instructions. Some advice - you can soak the tape in hot water to soften it and make it more flexible. Do not try to apply the tape in remotely windy conditions as it will either get stuck to itself OR you will get wind-blown dust stuck to the adhesive. Take a bit of care to remove bubbles (and dust) as they seem to get larger over time, I found that you can re-wet, remove dust with a wet finger, and reposition the tape many times. I also used a hair drier and a soft rubber squeegee to smooth it down.I half expected the tape to become unstuck in the wet, but this has not happened. This tape is more than a bit of a bargain at about one tenth of the cost of the factory fitted equivalent. just be careful and methodical when you apply it and you should be fine. I found that making templates out of the backing sheet effective for getting a good fit in difficult places.

Great for protecting my bike frame
I use the helicopter tape for protecting the paintwork on my bicycle, especially where cables and bags are connecting to the frame.Using some slightly soapy water in a spray bottle, the tape is really easy to apply without any air bubbles getting trapped. Simply cut the tape to the right shape, rounding the corners so they do not catch . Then spray the soapy water on the frame and on the tape as you pull back the backing. Smooth out the tape and dry the water remaining. Now I have a frame protected with tape that is very hard to see unless you get very close to the frame.

seemed good at first
followed the instructions as stated and put this on my car door sills as protectors based on the fact it was supposed to follow contours, it went on great but when I came to wash the car a week later I noticed it had pulled off everywhere there was a contour as the material had cooled and shrunk, so it was useless for that purpose and as far as I'm concerned a waste of money as I pulled all of it off as it looked horrendous, but it did come off with no damage to the paint as stated

Ok, but not good
This is the thicker tape, which is good. However the adhesiveness of the tape leaves much to the imagination. This despite meticulously cleaning the bike frame I was trying to protect. Not to say it was completely useless, but often had to cut several pieces to find one with adequate tack over the full region, even when using a hairdryer etc

Protective tape.
I've used this on my new cycle for a bit of added protection on the frame around the chain, a little fiddly to get the backing film off but quite easy to apply.Cleaned the frame with meths first and then washed my hands to avoid contamination.Used the backing film on top of the tape after applying it, to give it a final rub over with a credit card to remove any air bubbles and make sure it was stuck down well.Just a little pricey though.

Do Not Buy This Product...Especially if you live outside UK
Please don't make the same mistake! There are better tapes available on Amazon. The postage costs were +200% more than the product. Given that the item was feather weight (light)...one can only assume that a considerable profit was made on the postage fee by the seller. The product delivered was not in a roll as advertised and that made it much harder to apply the protector on the bike. If you make the mistake of ordering this item, please also make sure there is enough tape to meet your needs).

Flessibile e resistente
