Lightweight but powerful!
It's worth every penny! I know it's expensive, but it does just what I need for drying and styling my hair. Here's something you might not have thought of:I have frozen shoulder issues and with the long arm I can get a good grip and with the short head/neck i can reach behind my head to dry my hair - closer to my head. Other types of dryers have a long neck and you have to hold it further out, at an angle which was hard for me. Its SO light too! This also helps with my lifting issues. Highly recommend. 👍🏻

Worth the time saved
My daughter has A LOT of super thick hair and it took US as a team 45 minutes to dry before. We'd take turns and both have sore arms before it was dry. With this dryer she can do it in 10 minutes alone and be left with nice shiny smooth hair. Mine is much thinner but the medium setting works great for me. The difference between high and medium is huge. High is too much for thin hair. There should be a setting in between but it is a great dryer for super think hair and fine hair.

Stopped working on the 4th use!
*UPDATE: MINE STOPPED WORKING ON THE 4TH USE!!*Seriously, Dyson??? They have turned into such trash. My Dyson vacuums never last anymore, neither did my airwrap (why I used a shark instead) and now this POS too. Thank god this died while I was in the return window.I’ve been waiting for this to be released to consumers for a while now! My hairdresser has had it for a long time and I was always so curious about it.After 1 hair dry I’m immediately in love. I have purchased the original Dyson hair dryer, Dyson air wrap, shark flex style, and I feel like this is my favorite one! I always dread having to dry my hair so knowing this works quickly, I’m able to convince myself to actually do it.It’s super light weight, smaller/more compact and way quieter than my shark flex style I’ve been using as a hair dryer. I’m praying to the hair gods that this will last for years because it is so damn expensive!

Fast, powerful, but definitely a BIG investment
I've been using the Dyson Supersonic R for a bit now, and I have mixed but mostly positive feelings. It DOES dry my thick, wavy hair so much faster than any other dryer ever I've owned, and the attachments make a real difference depending on whether I want smoothness, or to target sections---ESPECIALLY the back. The intelligent heat control is also noticeable, I don't get that usual "scorched ends" or burnt-frizzy feeling after blow drying, even though this dryer gets hotter than others I've used. (I use Chi 40 and Paul Mitchell heat protectant when blow drying to help smooth my ends and hair)The design is really unique. It's super lightweight and the ergonomic shape feels MUCH easier to handle that the classic funnel style, especially if you spend a lot of time drying and styling. No awkward wrist angles, which is a relief. It also looks pretty sleek sitting on my counter, if you care about that sort of thing...lolNow for the part that's hard to ignore ...the price. That is a HUGE investment for a hair dryer, and honestly, while it's definitely faster and more efficient, it's not life-changing compared to some high-end models that cost half as much. You better be using it everyday... If you have really thick, curly or hard-to-dry hair, you'll probably appreciate the speed and heat control a lot more. But if your hair dries easily anyway, you might not feel like the jump in performance is worth the cost.Pros:Dries hair noticeably faster than traditional dryersGreat for thick, curly heavy hairLightweight and ergonomic, suuuper easy to maneuverLots of attachments for different needsIntelligent heat control protects hair from damageSleek, professional-looking designCons:Very expensive for a hair dryerGets hotter than expected, it can feel a bit intensePerformance gap between this and cheaper "pro" dryers isn't huge for some hair typesBottom line: If you have the budget and want something that feels fast, powerful, and a little more advanced, it's a strong option. But if you're expecting it to totally blow every other dryer out of the water, you might find it’s more about small improvements than a complete upgrade.

Well worth the investment
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It is a big investment For a blow dryer but for people like myself with fine hair and for people who wash their hair every morning it’s a game changer. I have recently stopped using a flat iron on my hair bc it’s damaged it for far too long. I have naturally curly hair but prefer to wear it straight with volume and this dryer achieves that while preventing the frizzles and fly aways. The ends look great and not frizzy or burnt and it dries hair quickly without overheating you. I haven’t had to use a flat iron since buying it. Well worth the investment for healthy shiny hair.

Best Dyson I’ve owned
Super lightweight and dries my hair really fast. Favorite Dyson tool I’ve used by far out of the driers, Airwrap, Airstrait.

Unhappy
Order this hairdryer on June 14 I paid over $600 for this hairdryer. Also purchased the insurance that covered for two years. I have now had the hairdryer for three weeks and is now not working was not dropped. I used it 2 to 3 times a week. I plugged it in I had some flashing lights on it and it no longer worked. Tried resetting call customer service at Dyson Was told to ship it back one through the insurance was told to go through Amazon upon speaking to Amazon, I was told I would get a refund, but it would have to wait for 5 to 7 days for the money and then I could re-order the item. I asked why I could not have an item shipped and they said that was their policy for something that was almost $700. I think customer service should’ve sent another one out. They have my card on file they know they could’ve charged me again if the item was damaged or I did not return it. I give them an unhappy rating.
