Love - Hate relationship...
The pro is that they work very well, the con is the cost. Four cartridges cost more than the original price of the Brother printer. If the OEM manufacturers wanted to eliminate most of the 3rd party suppliers, just reduce the cost a bit and maker them more reasonable.I've tried the 3rd party options and they work for a while but then they leave toner all throughout the printer. It's 2022 and you think they can make a toner cartridge that actually works. If the 3rd party manufacturers wanted to eliminate the OEM suppliers then they would make them more reliable.On second thought, then the OEM manufacturers can't sell the machines slightly above cost and would have to charge 5 times what they now charge for a printer. Anyway, you're paying for quality and reliability even if you feel like you are paying through the nose for it. Buy the 3rd party cartridges at your own peril, I've tried it for decades and it's dicey at best .

I Received My Recent Shipment of 2 Boxes -- In Both the Yellow Cartridge Did NOT Work!
In late September, 2022, I ordered two of these Smart Toner Cartridge Set. On October 29, 2022, the yellow cartridge in my Brother printer ran out. My husband opened one of the new boxes and took out the yellow package. The packaging was not damaged but he called my attention to the fact, after he opened it, that it was rattling in a way that was different from previous times he installed a toner cartridge for this printer. I said, "Well, it's open. Let's insert it and see if it works." He did. It didn't. My printer made all kinds of loud sounds that were NOT good ones and NOT normal. He took it out immediately. I opened the second box and the yellow toner had exactly the same rattle. I am in the process of trying to get approval from the seller to return this $436.98 of defective merchandise. My husband and I learned last night that there is ONLY a 30-day window to do so with the seller we unknowingly purchased from on Amazon. I hope that the seller approves this return because we are just a few days over that 30-day window. Who knew there was a 30-day window for returns of defective merchandise? Who knew we would receive not one, but TWO, boxes with defective toner? Who knew all this? Certainly not us.

Work great with no excess toner on the printed pages.
Works great. Very expensive, though. But there is no wasted toner with these.
