Training hard in MMA, boxing, kickboxing, or the martial arts? Then this lifelike punching and kicking dummy from Finer Form will give the outlet you need to realistically train your techniques, regardless of your discipline. Strong, durable and lifelike, this free-standing dummy will hold up to the hardest workouts, kick after kick, punch after punch. Built from heavy-duty materials, the Finer Form dummy provides the free-standing upper torso to practice striking to the head or the body. Filled with high-grade urethane foam, the dummy is wear-resistant and will provide years of resistance training as you sweat and sharpen your skills. With a steel and rubber spring set, the dummy will bounce back quickly to even the hardest strikes. The round base also holds up to 400 pounds of sand, or 265 pounds of water, so that you get the stability you need. Plus, the round base makes it easy for you to roll or re-position the dummy as you need. If you're looking for as much realism as possible, the Finer Form dummy is the right choice for you. Adjust the dummy to one of three heights to simulate different real-life opponents. Use it for elbows, knees, flying knees, spinning backfists, or a host of other popular MMA maneuvers. Or, use it to practice kickboxing techniques like front kicks or spinning back kicks. For Muay Thai, get up close to practice knee and elbow strikes. It's a great tool for the beginning striker, or a seasoned fighter looking for a intense workout.

Do NOT Waste Your Time, Money, and Energy on this Product
First off, Amazon and I came to an accommodation after I spoke to front-line personnel and then asked for a manager. So, I am not dissatisfied with Amazon but I am dissatisfied with this product. I've used several free-standing bags from the original Century WaveMaster, to Bob, to the Everlast version of Bob (no longer available), and this Finer Form version. When I punch this bag, it bends back (as it's supposed to do) but the plastic base is so thin that it actually becomes concave when the torso and mount go backwards after being struck. Halfway into my three minute rounds, the torso went from the approximate 6' 2" position down to about 5'4" or so... This is incredibly frustrating when you want to work against a taller bag and you have half a round to go! I suffered this three times before ripping off the red torso and putting my black Everlast torso in it's place. I had to throw away the Everlast base because I snapped the pole and mount that held the torso onto the base in half last week. The Everlast torso stayed in place for my final three rounds. However, the cylindrical mount the torso rests on now inclines backward slightly after only 6 3-minute rounds of Western style boxing combinations! I've never seen this with any other free-standing bag.I have no confidence in the base and I believe it will eventually crack. The seams are visible both on my torso and on my base. My strategy, moving forward, is to buy Bob bags as they break (I tend to rip the heads around the neck area with left hooks, over time). I don't like the heavy bag as much and I find the freestanding torso bags more to my liking as I don't much like hitting cylinders like with my old wavemaster. I hope someone will make a better bag or Everlast can bring back their old torso bag. The Everlast bag, though it snapped, lasted over eight years before it broke. The canvas cylinder on the WaveMaster required duct tape to keep from getting canvas dust in my face while punching and I would knock it over easily. I had to add gel to the Everlast and to this Finer Form bag in the base to make them heavy enough to not fall over most of the time. The everlast bag fell over from time to time and I almost knocked the finer form bag over and I expect I may in the future. Both move around my garage considerably while hitting them. That seems crappy at first because you have to move it back during your break, but it actually is better cause you have to adjust your stance and so on. If I had a larger space then it would be okay to move it around for 25 or 30 minutes.Instructions are easy and the bag goes to together even easier than my Everlast did but not quite as simply as the original Wavemaster. The customer service email is a gmail account, which was discouraging and prepared me for disappointment. I was not happy at having my workout disrupted and not being able to do my cooldown walk because I had to call Amazon to fix this. Thankfully, they made a reasonable accommodation. I would urge you to continue doing business with Amazon, but I had a bad experience with this product and cannot recommend it. I also doubt I will take any changes on high-value items since Amazon's solutions all required some sort of compromise on my end. Again, I am not dissatisfied with Amazon but I would prefer not to go through something like this again.I took a chance on it, since it had no review at time of purchase. And I'm only leaving this review because, had I see a review like this, I would have saved myself some money, some time, and some frustration and just gotten a Bob Bag that I would likely rip the head off in a few months and just keep buying those if that's the price of physical fitness.

Sturdy, but easy to set up
I bought this dummy for my nephew who is into karate and MMA. We wanted him to practice on something besides the couch and pillows. The set up was really simple, and it was more than stable enough for him, even when he kicked it very hard. Very sturdy, looks like it will stand up over time. Package was large, but not heavy. He was super-excitd and immediately got his gloves and started working on it in the basement. I’d recommend.

Great for kids AND adults
Ordered this for the kids who are into striking and they have used it quite a bit. It was easy to assemble, and has high-quality parts. Nothing flimsy. Very sturdy at the base, and holds up to my kids' punches and kicks well. Better than them hitting each other. Been a solid buy so far and I would recommend.

Great workout punching dummy
I received the punching dummy yesterday and put it through some paces this morning. The dummy came quick and was well packaged, and even if it wasn’t I don’t think it would matter. The materials are generally plastic, with the exception of the spring and padding. The padding seems heavy duty and durable.Assembly was intuitive and can be done without the enclosed instructions. The only word of caution is filling the weighted base. I HIGHLY suggest putting the base where it is intended to stay then fill the base (I used water, but sand would work too). The base is really heavy when full and difficult to move too far (how do I know this…).Anyway, I used it as part of my workout this morning, and found it to be great. I only boxed with it and can’t speak to kickboxing, but I’m sure it would be fine. I used a pair of light boxing gloves and thought it did a great job - very stable with the right amount of spring and give. The dummy height is good with padding between about 3’ and the head at about 5’4” +/-. I like that the height is shorter than me because it forces me to lower my stance and drive through with my base/core. I really like it.
