Our vintage projector screen bit it
Our vintage projector screen bit it and we were really sad about that. It was the solid built kind with glass crystals in the screen. To replace one of those nowadays, it turns out, is quite a lot of money. We ordered this one thinking it would be a temp solution, but it turns out it's pretty great. The stand is nowhere near the sturdiness of the metal ones from back in the day, so I wouldn't go shlepping this around place to place... but for movie night in our home, it does the job. The picture quality is great, and for the price, it's well worth it.

nice portable screen
The screen is nice and bright and works well with my projector. However, the mechanical construction is marginal. I have used several similar screens in the past that were much better mechanically. Forst the pin the holds the screen in place when it is stowed broke during shipment. I was able to fix that with a small bolt the installed. The other issue that bugs me is the alignment of the legs compared to the rotation of the screen as it is set up. On all of the similar screens I have had the leg was positioned so that when the screen rotates the screen easily clears one leg. On this one the legs go out directly behind and two on front at an angle to the rotation of the screen at set up. this makes it difficult to open the legs and then rotate the screen to set it up. A little more attention to detail would have been nice.

Great Product -Very Useful
Portable and convenient, easy to setup. Returned it because I did not like the projector and went with a different solution, but the screen was awesome.

It fell a part from day one
It's very cheap quality unfortunately.

Excellent portability but has a few minor flaws...
First, the quality and construction of the screen is EXCELLENT. Bright white screen backed by a matte black backing with a small black border makes for an excellent projection surface. Watched "Desolation of Smaug" briefly off of my ViewSonic PJD5533W projector and the image is sharp, the contrast is excellent, and there's enough tension to keep the screen taut even when people walk behind it or when my daughter was poking it from behind. It's easy to set up, with all the required hardware contained in one piece. It's a little heavier than I thought, but not difficult to handle. The screen rolls up into a nice and well constructed, heavy duty container with the tripod attached. The main issue I had, and the reason why it didn't earn another star, has little to nothing to do with the actual product. I purchased the 60" 16x9 ratio screen, and due to the wide format, the container was much longer than I had anticipated. It doesn't fit in my relatively small trunk. It most likely won't fit in overhead bins on airplanes. I did not anticipate the size of the wide format, and the screen is not as portable as I had anticipated.A secondary concern was, at 60" across it's actually much smaller than I thought it'd be. The projector needs to sit about 6' away, creating a heavy keystone distortion...Although it was easily fixed by the keystone correction on the projector. For a larger conference room, the images projected probably won't be big enough. It's more ideally suited for a smaller group, say, presenting to 3-5 people. Personally, knowing what I know now with the format and the size when rolled up, I should have gone with a much larger size since the transportation limitations will be the same.

Decent
60 inch -Came with a case despite indicating otherwise. Not built like a tank like those you might remember from years ago, but solid enough. Squeaky when pulling out the screen. Otherwise works as expected and is well-suited for my needs of an indoor screen I can quickly stow away.

QUALITY SCREEN
The screen construction is very good. A thick build and nice imaging surface. Unlike some screens that have significant curl on the edges this one is virtually flat all the way across. Easy latch allows for quick disconnect from the tripod stand. It would have gotten five stars but the stand leaves something to be desired. Although the adjustable vertical shaft is fine and easy to adjust, the tripod legs themselves are of thin metal and not very sturdy. I can't take away from the fact that for the price, it's a pretty decent free standing screen.

Good value
Good value - easy to setup and take down - just need to adjust leveling to suit projector

Great! A word of caution for ultra short throw projectors though...
With a regular projector, this thing is almost perfect. Mechanisms to open it, and set it up work great. I do wish there was an adjustment on the bottom legs so I could adjust how high or how open the legs are, but definitely not a deal-breaker at all, just a nitpick for my specific situation. There's tightness adjustments where you need them, you can adjust how high you want the screen to be, and overall its about as simple as possible to deploy and break down.In Elite Screens documentation, they say not to use a short throw projector with this, and I can see why. The screen is not perfectly straight. For a regular projector, you don't really see this and its not an issue, but for a short throw projector, you can see the unevenness a little on the top and bottom of the projected image. My projector is an ultra short throw (LG PF1000U) and you can definitely see the unevenness on the top and bottom of the image. You just cant get it perfectly straight. Now for me, I get it as straight as it can be and then after 20 seconds it doesnt bother me at all, but if youre someone who would be bothered by an uneven screen, its a definite deal breaker.

Happy with purchase
Bought it, fast delivery and used it three strait nights at camp. Had a Jurassic park marathon. If you are looking for a screen like we were this is it. Easy to set up and take down, has black backing so light doesn’t leak through. Was a good purchase.
