King Sized 5 x 1 Inflatable Sofa Bed, Black

I purchased this 5 x 1 king sized sofa/bed about 3 months ago. Upon receiving it I followed the instructions to inflate and deflate at least 3 times before using. After about 1 week there was a slow leak. I called the customer service number provied with the bed and explained the leak. The man I spoke to was very nice and they sent me a replacement which I received in a couple of days. I've been using it as a bed ever since. It is very comfortable and we have had no further issues. I wanted to really test it out before leaving a review. It will soon be going in the game room as a sofa so we'll be testing it that way too. This is an amazing air bed for the price.

The sofa bed requires 2 people to deflate because there is no attachment that would hold the pump in place. They give you additional attachments as if they were useful for something, but the one you need is not there. So if you ever want to put this bed back in the box and bag it came in, one person will have to hold the pump in place and another will have roll the bed (3) three times for each chamber to deflate correctly. Note: inflating it is really easy, the pump just fits in valve opening. I ordered 4 airbeds in one shipment for a large party. One pump was delivered broken inside and rattling. Two beds hold air for roughly 3 hours - new out of the box, while the other two, must have been made even worse because they deflated within 2. I guess they could have stretched a bit during first use. I have not used them second time yet. I have to say this is exactly what I expected from a product made with pride in China.

Many of the reviews of this mattress are spot on. It's great to take with you if you're camping, BBQs, friends or family visiting and needing a place to sleep, etc. It has multiple uses. I used it to lounge around on the floor in front of my TV/Gaming system, and you can prop yourself up like a lounge chair. It's great at being versatile. I'd say the least comfortable position is when you have it strictly set up as a couch. Sitting in it for less than an hour is fine. Anything more than that and you'll be fidgeting.The mattress holds the air quite well. You can go days or a week even before you'll feel the need to add a little air to get a more firm feeling. I would recommend this air mattress; however, I would not recommend it for everyday use; but that all depends on the users and how THEY are using it.Pros:1) Huge - the whole family, or all your friends can fit on this2) Portable - Can get it set up quickly as well as break it down quickly and take with you3) Durable/Reliable - mattress is sturdy and manufactured well4) Comfortable - depending on how you are using it of course.Cons1) Huge - depending how you use it, this mattress is really big and if the area is small, you'll have a hard time getting this mattress adjusted. It's definitely best used in larger open areas.2) I wouldn't want to sleep on this mattress every single day.3) The pump is LOUD!! It's just a small pump that uses a small fan to either be used to inflate the mattress, or to deflate the mattress (you have the option to connect it to the exhaust or the suction side of the pump). At any rate, it's LOUD. I'm surprised no one mentioned that. It does not take away from the mattress functionality, I just thought I'd mention it. I used earplugs whenever I inflated/deflated it.I would recommend this item as long as you will be using it in a large area. In the end, I actually got rid of it. Not because it was a terrible product, but because it was too big for the room I was using it in.

The picture on this page is for an older model that we owned years ago with the side tubes connecting different air chambers. That air bed was tough, rugged, and comfortable. Very disappointed to open this package and find that this is NOT the old product shown in the picture above. This is a cheaper and less comfortable version of a once great product. I'm not even sure this is the same product at all. Seems like a cheap knock off.Worked fine the first two uses and then went flat on the third. Again, the old product shown in the picture was tough. This newer/knock off version leaves a lot to be desired. Not very sturdy and the couch position is much less comfortable than the older version shown in the picture above.This isn't a horrible bed, but it is NOT the bed shown in the photo. Its not as comfortable and not as durable as the original superior product. Sigh...

I agree with the comments about the back of the couch leaning forward & being SO uncomfortable. It's not possible to even sit straight up on this couch because the back leans forward so much! My husband & I rolled up a quilt & placed it under the front edge which helped some, but we still had to partially deflate the back just to be able to use it as a couch. Then, you could only sit somewhat comfortably when someone else was on the other end of the couch or the part you rest against just goes flat. Also, within the first 48 hours of owning it both of the plastic clips on the back straps broke off. Then came the leak. Unfortunately, the leak is around one of the circles on the cushion & after multiple attempts can't be repaired because it's in the seam. I had such high hopes for this sofa bed, but I'm disappointed & returning it today. I will say it is huge though! My husband & I enjoyed sleeping on it & having so much room before the leak began.

It survived a week outside in the desert at Burning Man with people sleeping on it (as a sofa) daily. And at one point it had 5 people wrestling on top of it. Shockingly it was not damaged at all (just dirty). After cleaning it at home I left it inflated for a few weeks to test for leaks, there were none. It has also traveled across the country a few times with me for use as a mattress. I don't know how it holds up to daily use, but for my use its perfect. It is HUGE, but that's why I bought it. The pump is very loud, but impressively powerful. I also use it with the included attachments as a air blower for my electronics (no more canned air).A deflation tip: use the pump to suck all the air out then immediately screw the cap back the hole. If you leave the cap off air will leak back in when you try to roll it up.
