Kingston DT100G3/256GB DataTraveler 100 G3 USB 3.0 Flash Drive, 256 GB, Black

I found this fantastic 64GB USB flash drive from Kingston. It's got impressive read speeds which is just mind-blowing if you ask me! I purchased 4 of the 32gb drives to have around as the price was very good.made of plastic but seem sturdy, you slide the cover that protects the connector when you want to use it and it locks into place while open and closed. Overall it seems well made for the price and on one end is a way to thread it onto key chain or lanyard.for the benchmarks i tested 2 out of the 4 and these were the first thing i did on the drives and they were plugged into usb3 via an amazon basics usb3 extension cable, this did not seem to have any effect on the drives and i even did a test while pluged direct into the usb3 on the back of my pc.so the benchmarks in the pictures are done in order of left to right, the 3rd test of one drive was done direct via the usb without the extension cable (this is marked in the pictures) and the 3rd one of the second drive tested was tested after 8gb of random files added.all times i got above 100mb read speed which is whats advertised and it averaged 28mb write speed.these are not blasing fast but for the price and as a handy usb drive they are perfect, if you want something to read and write a lot of data to regulaly then a ssd via usb would be a better option and this drive does a job at a very good price.

I’ve recently returned from a holiday where we had taken a lot of videos, but wanted to share the videos we had taken on our phones with the in-laws who were also on the holiday with us, but who are not exactly the most avid photographers unlike me and my wife, so how’d we go about sharing the videos?Yep a good old USB flash drive to the rescue and I’ve used Kingston for years without any issues with reliability or speed and still have some old USB2.0 sticks in use to this day.As you’d expect transfer rates were fast enough to transfer several GB of videos in a reasonable time and when placed in to the USB port on any modern TV the drive appeared and worked flawlessly playing back videos.

Still working fine after a couple of years, unlike an "Integral" branded one I bought around the same time. The sliding protective cover works well and can't be lost either. I haven't measured performance but it seems fine.

Item is of good quality build. A knowing brand so no issue if warranty is needed.I have a few of these for holding files, and 2 that I use just to keep a copy of windows on for when and if I need to reformat my PC... Does the job and gets it done at a decent price point.

I've had this for years & realize how good its quality is when I see sticks of other reputable brands die within 24 hours (3x in a row)this stick is used in the same exact way & works like a champ!
