Not perfect, but miles ahead of traditional tool posts and at a decent price.
Not without problems, but Phase II always puts out a decent product. A few big ticket items, the boring bar holder only accepts the tool into one side, which if you mount the toolpost for boring is the incorrect side of the lathe... a pain, but nothing a bit of emery won't fix.I really wish they listed the dimensions of the parts though, so I've included them here. Even attached photos to prove it. The mounting block that fits into the carriage is 0.475"X1.850"X2.350". I believe it's a half inch bolt that goes through it. This block did not fit my old sheldon lathe, but I've got plenty of blocks with threaded holes in them, so I just stole it of another post. This is an older model with a wedge instead of a push plate, so it only holds the tool within probably .015" each time you take it out and replace it. That's quite considerable, but way easier than shimming a cutter in a traditional tool holder for every replacement. I run a 10" swing lathe, and this would be overkill in most instances, but the extra weight and rigidity helps me reach a better finish than with lighter counterparts. If you need more repeatability with your tool holding, go with the 251-100. It's a few more bucks, but we use it at work very successfully.

Good quality.
I bought this set for myself for Christmas. I really like it. I replaced my lantern post that was junk compared to this. I wished I would have done this years ago. Clamps down tight and the machining is very good. You have to mill or grind the supplied steel bar for the mounting nut. I am using this on my Craftsman lathe.

Great quality, fast tool changes.
Feels good, works great. It just feels like quality when locking unlocking. Does everything (quickly) that I need it to. Good purchase. To those asking if this will work for their lathe, it comes with a large t-nut. Quick run on mill and it will fit everything. If you don’t have a mill, you can use your lathe to turn a step into center as wide as your slot and the height you’ll need...it’s not hard.

Saves time and more rigid than the lantern
I have this on a atlas/craftsman 12" circa 1946. Nice step up from the lantern style. The wedge handle tries to get in the way when loading a tool on the one side of the tool post. The tee nut was easy enough to machine/fit to the compound. I used a milling attachment that came with the lathe for that project. You'll be wanting more #1/#2 tool holders before you know it.

Works perfect for Grizzly G0602 lathe
Installed this on my grizzly G0602 lathe. Machining the T-nut was easy to do but might be difficult if someone does not also own a milling machine as well. Works great as designed. Allows quick easy tool changing and the height adjustment is easy now. No more shimming

feels solid and tight
On sale these are a much better buy than Bostar and seem much more heavy duty

Happy with my purchase from Amazon.
Got exactly what I wanted. The Plate that holds the tool post needed some modification to fit. However, I expected that would be necessary and it did not take too long to fit it up. This is a nice tool for the money. It is strong and made well.

Very solid unit
This tool holder fit my Atlas 10 inch lathe perfectly. I ordered a T-nut for my lathe, and the unit bolted right up. No issues.
