Softspikes Ultimate Cleat Kit

Low: there were no instructions regarding which "wrench" should be used for removal/installation. Old spike removal requires considerable force depending on age of shoe. Used 2-prong wrench with adjustable open-end wrench for added leverage. Once new spikes were installed, I used the 2-prong wrench to bear down until they "clicked" into place. (This was after losing a few on the course due to not completely tightening them)High: they fit my "Dry Joys" (several years old) perfectly, feel great underfoot, do their job well.

This kit for SoftSpikes replacement works well. The ripper wrench saved my butt. I had taken 1 spike out to verify I had the Fast Twist 3.0 system. It took me 5 minutes with my old insertion wrench and another 5 to put it back in. I definitely needed the ripper. I had all 12 spikes pulled out in 2 minutes. My main gripe is that you have to use the insertion tool to click the new spikes in and it's not great for leverage since it doesn't have a handle like the ripper. My old insertion tool (handled) would not reach deep enough into the new Black Widow spike to be affective. Those Black Widows are great by the way. My recommendation would be to buy the ripper/ insertion tool with the changeable heads and buy the spikes separately. It will cost $7.04 more thru Amazon but worth it. Plus, you store the tool heads inside the wrench, so you won't lose anything.

The wrench they now supply to remove spikes is fine. Rips them right out. Worked great. However the wrench they now supply to install the spikes is anemic, it does NOT supply enough mechanical advantage. The old wrench design has a wrench that has two interchangeable heads with nice mechanical advantage in the design. I had to use that to install the spikes instead of the little green thing now supplied with the spikes for installation. I vote that a fail, definitely.. Needs a redesign to supply more mechanical advantage. Spikes are what I had before and are really good spikes. Will use again.

Tools that come with the spikes are very handy, and well made. The spike removal tool only works if you take a study metal divot repair fork and dig out the sand and grit under the old spikes. They still give you grief, but they do come off easier if you clean out the grit.Then I took a scrub brush and water, cleaned out the threaded spike holes, rinsed and used installation tool.Installing new spikes is quick and easy if you do the above.Overall the spikes themselves seem sturdy and durable, time will tell.

Two tools work well to remove old golf shoe cleats and replace with new cleats.

Removing old spikes is one thing, installing the new ones is anotherAs for removal, the tool provided was not very effective as the spikes had been in the shoes for well over 5 years. AS a result I wound up using a drill and drill bit to bore a small hole in the center of each spike and then extracted them with some needlenose pliers. Using this method, all spikes were removed from both shoes in less than 10 minutes.Once all the spikes were gone from the shoes, I then cleaned out the holes with some WD40 and an old toothbrush to get all the grass and mud from the spike holes. Highly recommended as a clean hole makes installing the new spikes far easier.The final step was to install the new spider cleats which was done using the provided tool. The key to installing the cleats is to get the new cleat positioned properly in the hole. It should push down with a click and must be aligned properly to the hole. Once in and aligned, the tool works well to seat the new cleat by twisting the cleat into final position.

Most important tool is the ripper tool to remove old spikes. Apply pressure , rotate and after a few tries the spike rotates & comes off. Yes you may destroy the old spike in the process but who cares, you are getting rid of it. Never affects the other part where you install the new spike with the 2-prong tool. Just remember to clean the receptacle before installing the new spike as dirt is likely in it.

First, this was a discount as new item. It had 16 spikes as opposed to the 18 count on the package. 5 of the spikes came off the shoes on the first round. Maybe my error, maybe not, heard all of them click when inserted.

Took and spikes worked well. Tool was very handy to detach old spikes.

① 古くなったスパイクを外す。ペンチやプライヤーで外そうとしましたが、ビクともしません。特に泥が入り込んで固まっているので、付属の専用治具は必須です。それでも外すのに力と少しのコツが必要になります。（スパイクの中心がズレない様に垂直に回す）② 新しいスパイクを取り付ける。古いスパイクを外したら、ピンセットや硬い歯ブラシ等を使って丁寧に泥や芝をかき出します。汚れがひどい場合は水できれいに洗って乾かした後に新しいのを取り付けた方がいいでしょう。私はブラッシングだけで済ませたのですが、そのためか、それとも靴の受け側も少し変形してしまっているためか、締め付けに相当な力が必要となりました。（取付用の治具も力が入りにくい樹脂製の簡易なもの）取付が完了したと思たところから、さらにおなかに力を入れて右にカチッと音がするところまで回す必要があります。（ここが大事！）靴とスパイクの間に隙間があるようであれば、それは締め付けが完了していません。取り付けた後、スパイクを一つ一つ指で剥がしてみてください。取り付けがうまくいっていないスパイクはポロっと取れます。他のレビューで、１ホール目でスパイクが取れた、と言われている方のほとんどは締め付け不良が原因です。片足9個両足18個のスパイクを交換したら、腕がパンパンになりました。
