Great Belt, Great Company
I rarely write reviews but finding the micro adjustable Ratchet Gun Belt was too good to keep to myself.First, this is just a great belt - perfect for concealed carry but great just as a regular pants belt. The leather is full grain of high quality backed up by the internal polymer insert, the layering making it thick and sturdy. The buckle is sleek and stylish and well made. If you like high-quality leather and great style but don't like thin, wimpy belts, this is for you whether you carry or not. The ratchet adjustments are also a huge improvement on basic one-inch belt hole spacing. Especially if you, like me, have a little extra around the middle, you'll appreciate being able to easily and discretely make slight adjustments - one-quarter-inch increments of tightening and loosening - as you stand, walk, sit, drive, etc. A regular belt is either too lose or too tight on me, depending on what I'm doing, and I'm not about to adjust one of those in public. This is especially helpful when carrying - the rig is tough enough for anything and the quick adjustments make program compliance easier and more comfortable. What really made me sit down and write this was the customer service. I had a bit of trouble with my first belt and needed new set-screws. One message to RGB Direct via Amazon and I had a new set in a few days - no need for a return-and-replace hassle. The sales team contacted me directly, told me when to expect the replacements and checked in with me later to ensure I was satisfied. You don't get treatment like that often, and for me, it really turns a good buying experience into a great one. Doing that is what led me to get another belt, one I'll keep in the lined wooden box so it stays pristine for dress occasions.I'll offer only one small word of advice for installing the buckle on the belt - engage your inner zen monk, go slow and be patient. Protect the buckle with a soft towel or something to avoid scratches. Clamp the belt down on your bench with padded quick-clamps while cutting and assembling. Use your sharpest razor knife and slice straight and carefully in a few strokes. Instead of using the small nail provided to create the starter holes, use a tiny drill bit (I used 1/16) to create slightly wider starts - but not too deep. Then, go slow, careful and steady when inserting the screws - the threads are small and easily crossed, and the pressure of setting them can strip the hex head. It will take a little longer but I'd wager you'll be as happy as I am with the results.

Genuine Leather Gun Belt
So, this is my 2nd attempt with an RGB belt. I placed an order the 1st week of April 2020 and item was received and seemed great. So I cut the belt a little bigger to provide space for different firearms, different carry positions, weight fluctuations and different pants. I then tried to secure actual belt into buckle and this is very tricky as the belt is very thick and it takes a lot of pressure to get actual belt into the buckle. The con is that it takes much might to get belt secured to the buckle. The pro is once secured that you know it will never separate. I placed belt onto pants and noticed that I made it much too big and the buckle went past the ratchet system. So, I then tried to back out the set screws which hold the belt to the buckle, and one set screw stripped; so I was unable to back it out to re-cut the belt. So I was disappointed and returned the belt and ordered a new belt.I then ordered another RGB belt, the Mamba, and it was received the 2nd week of April 2020. I was able to cut and place buckle on this belt and the set screws again stripped. But since it fits and I have allowed for additional room, I am happy with it.I do also own a Blade Tech Ultimate Carry Gun Belt. I have used it for 3 years. I will say that $119 is a bit steep for an RGB belt, but you are receiving a handmade genuine leather belt as compared to a plastic belt. Furthermore, I spoke to the owner and they do run specials at $89.99 multiple times during the year. Please see the comparison below:Blade Tech Ultimate Carry Gun Belt Pros & Cons:* Very sturdy and stiff* Over past three years it has somewhat lost a bit of stiffness and shape* It is plastic* Great value at $59.99* Buckle is nice and is held into place with 2 set screws* The tensile strength is high at 1,300 pounds* Overall, it is a solid belt for the price. Most bang for your buckRGB Belt:* Genuine Leather* Hand made* Thicker than Kore and Blade Tech in regards to the thickness of leather vs. plastic. The leather is THICK* Stiff (but not as stiff as Blade Tech) - has some flexibility* Nice Buckle* Comes with cloth, box, small black bag, hardware, Allen key, and instructions* Set screws are NOT high quality and have a tendency to strip easily. Be careful and use small hole punch tomake large holes to reduce the chance of stripping* I am wearing it as we speak and seems to be more comfortable than Blade Tech* I wore it with multiple firearm at the 4 O'clock position and appendix and seems to hold firearms better thanBlade Tech. This is perhaps due to the fact that it is thicker and holster clips fit like a glove on the belt whereasthe holster clips with blade tech belt seem to wiggle. The reason for the 4 stars are as follows:1. Price is HIGH but staff provided great communication before and after purchase and you are receiving ahandmade genuine belt. Staff sent me another color buckle included in the $119. So I got a $30 buckle at nocharge.2. Set screws are low quality and strip VERY easily. Will be going to hardware store and buying better quality setscrews so I can interchange buckles. If they do strip you are unable to swap out buckles.3. And I am not sure of the durability as I have only worn it for one day. I will update in a few months after dailyusage. To date, I am satisfied with exception of set screws and the fact that it is a bit more flexible, not as stiff, as Blade Tech.

Ten stars!!!
This is my only belt now. Every other gun belt is either complicated, uncomfortable or looks tactical (not very tactical) When I got my rgb I was wearing one of those nylon velcro rigs that took forever to get on and felt like 2 lbs of plastic. The other leather belts I was looking at just didn't look good to me and used the hook and notch system. The second I put the rgb on i was sold. It just looks and feels like a regular belt but stiffer. It holds up the weight of whatever gear you stack on beautifully. The ratchet system makes for a perfect fit no matter what is on or under it (or nothing) I can also adjust or remove the belt with one hand on the fly. At first I wrote a three star review because a screw got thread locked and I actually had to drill it out and wear it with three screws. I still loved it. Rgb reached out to me and sent a replacement buckle and hardware without even asking. They did explain that the finishes like black mamba are more prone to scratching than some others and suggested chrome or gunmetal for less marring over time. Customer service at this level puts them way over five stars for me. Anyone who carries a weapon (or not) needs to have the highest quality belt. I would recommend rgb every time. It is actually a pleasure to concealed carry every day now. Thank you.
