Amazing, buy this one. it is worth it.
After hating every wall mounted knife magnet I'd seen I decided to spend a little more for something that looked nicer. It was between this one and a bamboo one that was more expensive. (they were the only two with hidden magnets) This one was smaller and cheaper in price but I decided to give it a try.It is excellent quality. I suspect that these are hand made as the corners and edges seem hand sanded. The finish is great; no imperfections, splintering, or other cheap manufacturing issues. And the other review is correct, I see no evidence of how the magnets could have been placed in the rack. There are no visible seams, glue, screws, or filled holes of any kind.It has the look of something hand made you might purchase from an artisan at a local specialty shop. Seriously, it is that nice. The picture makes the rack look longer than it is relative to the knife shown, but the 10 inch size fit my needs. I am extremely happy with this purchase and was very pleasantly surprised to get something that was so well crafted from Amazon.amazing, you must see it! I'm trying to invent other uses for this so I have a reason to buy another one.

Fits perfectly...magnet is really strong.
Fits perfectly...magnet is really strong. Bought two. One for inside cabinet door (used gorilla glue to adhere). One for inside wall of the cabinet (used screw holes in rack--screws not provided). From the reviews, I expected excellent craftsmanship...it was good...could have used a bit more sanding as the edges were rough but can't really tell that once it's installed. Nice color...good match for my mahogany cabinets. Magnet is strong and holds 5-6 knives...a few are 8 inch blades. Agree with other reviews as it's a mystery as to how the magnet got in there b/c you can't see any seams. Well packed with bubble wrap.

Perfect size if you only have a small space to hang a knife rack.
This piece is very well-made and attractive wood. Strong magnet. I am using it to hold my one very expensive knife and all my individual stainless measuring spoons, all of which I use a lot while cooking. One note that keeps it from earning five stars: The rack is simply hung on thetwo screws you mount and it moves when you have something large (like my one 'very expensive' knife) on it that you want to grab and use. Must use other hand to steady the rack.

Lovely! very happy with it.
I love it! nice, wooden, handmade quality! and so beautiful. The only thing is that the magnetic strips may not be strong enough for our knives. Since the knives turns sideways if you move the wooden board(they don't slide, or move from it's spot, just turns as if the magnetic strip is not covering much of the knife, (maybe it is our knives that are too heavy?). (They have not made it up the wall yet.) IT IS strong though, so it is nice! I think it is perfect! i'm very happy. LOOKS LOVELY! Perfect size for our 3 different sizes kitchen-knives (size:small).

Beautiful and well built, but with one serious flaw.
I have some Japanese blades that are polished (nothing too exotic, Zelites and Shuns) and they actually slide off the wood unless you manage to get them directly on a magnet and the brand etching is facing down. My German knives have a machined surface and grip fine. I had to add two thin strips of rubber across the surface as the grip was so lousy on the Asian knives it was a safety hazard.

( Otherwise they work fine, and I'm happy they come in 10 inchers
Ordered one 6 months ago, and a matching one last month. They are TOTALLY different colors :( Otherwise they work fine, and I'm happy they come in 10 inchers, but I will need to re-stain one of mine so they match.

Good quality and a short
I needed a short Knife Rack due to limited wall space around the cooking area. These were a perfect fit. The magnets embedded in it aren't strong enough for a vertical placement of the rack but I was planning on putting them horizontally anyway.

Debating...
I haven't installed as yet as I have found the magnet to be a bit weak to hold my five knife kitchen prep set. This is a smaller length rack, for sure, but I had given the same knife set to my daughter, and her husband had installed a similar magnetic rack block from Amazon which worked out better. I have standard cabinets, I think, so not sure what to think. But I think I am leery to put holes in my cabinet if there's a good chance knives will slip and move around a bit too much. So kind of sitting on it for now...
