Ok, I guess?
I've been using these for about 6 weeks now and I've honestly noticed no real difference. They are as described - six balls of what appear to be wool. No idea what's under the top layer of wool - if they're solid wool or have something underneath, but I don't think that matters.Regarding speeding up dry time for loads, I give this claim 1 star. I have 3 kids under 5. I do a ridiculous amount of laundry, so I've had plenty of chances to test this. I normally run a load in our dryer for 75 minutes on low to get things dry. I tried adding two of these to a load and reduing the time to 65 minutes and the load was still wet. Next time I tried 70 minutes, the load was mostly dry, but things like the waists of jeans were still slightly damp. 75 minutes and everything was dry, but that's what I normally use. For light loads, it might make a small difference - 5 minutes or so, but in mixed loads or things with heavier weight items, the difference seems non-existent.As for the fabric softener part of these, I'll give the claim 3 stars -- they certainly don't seem to do any harm, but I haven't noticed anything being significantly less static-y or softer over doing our laundry with no fabric softener or dryer sheets. Overall, I just don't really notice a difference, most of our laundry is natural fiber, so it's not highly static prone to begin with. Theese dryer balls work better than tennis balls for throwing in the dryer with things like bulky comforters, because they don't *add* static (as the tennis balls are covered in plastic based materials) but I was really expecting to see something more obvious, given all the hype the wool dryer balls have gotten. They deliver exactly what they claim to in the listing and don't do any harm, I've just been underwhelmed with the results. I'm not sure if that's because of the item itself, or just that wool dryer balls are a pretty subtle difference. Thus the final rating of 4 stars. They're not expensive, they're useful in limited circumstances and they don't really cost me anything to use in every load, so I'm going to be keep using them. There's no harm in it, but I wouldn't suggest anyone go out and buy these expecting to see a big change in their drying results.

No chemicals, no odors
When my daughter came home from college with dryer balls I laughed - why not just use dryer sheets? Two months later I'm sold on them. They have no chemicals and no odor, so my clothes just smell clean - not scented. Dryer sheets are good for one load, then they're trash. Dryer balls are made to be used again and again - saving money and landfill space.I like that these came in a pouch so when they come out of the dryer they have an 'away' place other than rolling around on the dryer. Nice plus.

Get these balls! They are awesome.
Wow! These dryer balls live up to their reviews and product description! I was impressed how well they helped my dryer dry clothes in shorter time periods than would normally be required plus they left my clothes and sheets feeling softer without chemical residues! I am a mom of toddler twins and wife to a mechanic and do laundry twice a day every day.

Please try these! You won’t be sorry!
I have been a fan of dryer balls for awhile. My son has a skin sensitivity to artificial scents, and I have a nose sensitivity to them. These dryer balls dry our laundry more quickly, these in particular are great quality, and I enjoy using natural lavender essential oil in them to scent our laundry with no chemicals. These are economical, great for the earth, and fantastic for getting your laundry soft and dry!

leaves white lint on black clothing
The balls do not decrease drying time. When I used them with black clothing, my clothes came out with lots of white lint on them. In the future I'll only use them with white or light clothing.

Works Great Recommend to everyone
Tried with towels that I don't use softener with and the towels came out soft. It does cut drying time down. Have more on the way. Chemical fragrance are killing us so using these are the best thing. I can breath and have soft clothes.

Get rid of the dryer sheet chemicals with wool balls
What a piece of mind to get rid of the chemicals that are in the dryer sheets by using these wool balls. Most of the time the clothes come out wrinkle free & if they don't it's more of a fabric issue than anything else. Last a long time. The last set of wool balls I purchased lasted a year doing laundry for my husband & I.

Finally made the switch
I have been using dryer sheets FOREVER. I recently heard about dryer balls and how they're supposed to be better for you. I didn't know what to expect, but I was impressed. My clothes were just as dry, less wrinkly, and static free. I will be ordering again!
