works for 9260 windows/ubuntu
on two different boards(msi pc mate z170 and Asus rog strix b550f) this card was never detected in bios or OS in the small pcie slots. only when plugged into the lower big pcie slot would it work. no amount of changing settings in bios for pcie (auto to gen1 or gen2)made any difference. detected right away when put in the big slot. recent Kubuntu and windows 10 with a 9260 no problems at all and a very good connection. other issue is that a couple of soldering points for the antennas actually touched the metal bracket and i filed some of the metal away later from the bracket, just enough for it to not touch. didn't seem to affect function but it still bothered me. of course having the usb cable having to traverse the space when I am trying to have a clean and neat build is bothersome too so having been able to use the lowest small pcie slot would have been nice.

Works like a charm with AC 9260 in Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04
Installed easily in my PC and accepted the AC 9260 card without issue. I was a bit concerned about the way the antenna connectors were soldered to the board, but it proved to be not a problem at all. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Installed in 5 min working great
Used a intel 9260 wifi / bluetooth worked on 1st boot up win 10 installed everything automatically. the small wires for antenna snap on and the screen to hold the intel card in is tiny use caution not to lose it. Really easy to install

Perfect for parts recycling
Bought a few of these, one use a Intel card and the other uses a broadcom card. Both work perfectly. For BT you will need a USB header to connect the board to, only wifi runs through the pcie slot. If you have a laptop m.2 wifi/BT card lying around and want to use it in a desktop board then this is the ticket. If don't have either then just buy a prebuilt pcie card

Some dexterity required; Size matters, as well as the brand compatibility of your motherboard chipset.
I found this adapter quite easy to use. The card itself has built-in installation socket for M.2 wi-fi card, and I bought one that's Windows-10 compliant. Tiny wires for antennas require user dexterity to install. Wi-fi card fitted perfectly into the M.2 slot, and was secured with single screw, just like a laptop installation.It seems to be important that your motherboard controller chipset is compatible with either the (for Intel) wi-fi card or the (for AMD) wi-fi card YOU BUILD into this adapter. THEN you can know in advance which drivers you need to install...

It's good for downloading but don't buy the killer 1525 card try the 1550 on up. This card is good for regular downloads. But streaming games. It is terrible. It is not a gaming card
